WHAT? You dont think Gardiner has been given the opportunity to get back on track? He is originally from Melbourne and not even with his best mates over in the west! You think he would get better elsewhere? If Adelaide ever picked that drug dealing smuck up I would forefeit my membership!

Carlton would like to think they could turn him around just lile L:awrence!
hahahahahahahaahahhahaah to any club that takes the nuffy bet!

Yes, I do think the Eagles have supported him and that he has been given plenty of opportunity, what I am saying is that some or the main root cause to his problem is the crew he has got himself involved with, by removing this environment and the only way to do that is by taking him out of Perth, it may give him a greater opportunity to get himself back on track....

Given that he is from Melb, a melb based club may not be a bad thing, at least he will have a family structure around him and the support of his family which can not be replicated in Perth

I work with a lot of street kids in Perth, who have found themselves in some really heavy situations and terrible environments but by removing them from those influences, it can make a huge difference

When did Gardiner go to WA?? I always though he was from WA, IIRC he was originally drafted from Claremont and came from their country zone - the south west of WA. So he must have gone to WA as a teenager....

FWIW the AFL 1996 draft (he was a compensation priority pick as West Coast offloaded Ian Downsborough to the PAPs to get the #1 pick) list him as being from Claremont.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I wouldn't be DISPLEASED if we picked up Aker, but it would have to be on a "big brother" type of contract... ie; every time he says or does something stupid, Triggy takes $5000 off of his starting price... how much do ya reckon that'd leave him with each year???

I wouldn't care what Aka says because he is good for the game. I prefer People whom speak their minds. The AFL has recently shot itself in the foot with what happened between the umpires and Geelong players. Kingsley can be hit and miss whilst Gardiner well lets see what rehab can do i feel he has some demons and needs to sort them out, I wouldn't sneeze if geelong got Aka and Gardiner.

Yeah I guess if he did go to melb, then he would be well away from the melbourne underground organised crimes that he managed to steer away from so easily in perth!

I could be wrong about him being from Melb....happy to stand corrected if so.
