I agree he has a lot of raw talent, but he still makes too many wrong choices and slow decisions.
I'd also think about moving Johncock out to the HBF, taking McLeod's, role and perhaps Reilly or VB in the back pocket.
Bock has shown enough signs of recovery to be worth keeping as CHB if a reasonable deal can be made to do so.

he has been playing down back quite a bit this 2nd half of the season. maybe they are already grooming VB for that position.

To become a better player, players need to play. Walker has all of 25ish games to his name, is 20 and plays a key position. I'd suggest what he has managed to achieve in his time is far greater than all but a handful of the star KPF did at the same stages of their career.

Agreed. Symes is excellent off half back and more than servicable in the middle/on the wing. Not sure why so many people don't rate him personally.

Agreed, why dont people rate him? They question his efficiency etc but that is purely because he doesnt look fluent in his kicking action. He plays a key roll within the team and is a certain starter simply because craig rates him.

Also Armstrong can make a case to be infront of Petrenko. This I also think VB will take the run with role next year.

People are also kidding themselves if they don't think Reilly will be in the team next year.

Has had a solid year as a tagger.

I'd be wary of expecting Otten to be in the best 22 for a while .. He's coming off a decent injury and absence and had really only had the 1 season of establishing himself.

At his best he walks into the best 22, but it could take a while to regain that form.

Martin and him were in a similar situation but Otten played a full year and more than deserved his 3rd spot in the rising star(if i remember rightly)

He will be fine!

For sure, Im not questioning how good he was in his last season, just saying that it was a breakout year for him and he's missed a lot of footy, it could take him a while to get back to a similar level.

Recon Moran might struggle to get another game. His knee sounds a bit of a mess. With McKernan in the wings Sellar, Griffin & Tippett ready to use and probably in front of him, might be the right time to let him be free (dissapointing but it is a business now) and draft a newie this year.

This way will be ready to use when Big Ivan & Griff approach there used by dates will be cherry ripe to go.

Luke Thompson, currently on the rookie list, veeery promising defender. Will make a great 3rd tall at AFL level. Needs to tidy up his disposal a bit, but has everything else. Exceptionally agile and quick for someone 192cm, and once he starts backing his pace a bit more as well as working on that kicking, he'll be AFL ready. Good call eaglehaslanded.

good kicking is no longer a requirement of AFL players  seriously tho, be good to see how he goes on the main stage, his first appearance may be sooner than expected now Bock is leaving.

Chris Knights has his house on the market so I guess he's going too!
Got a place in Melbourne an interior designer I know is doing a "makeover" for. Could well become a "bulldog".
