AFL GF Tickets Rise Again

Talk on the national game

Even if Melbourne made the Grand Final they
would want the game transferred to the Gabba!

REB that august fade out last year coincided with
a heavy travelling campaign, including that ridiculous
annual transferred game to the Gabba v Brisbane.

Will history repeat?

You can't sell your cake and eat it too. The Demons faded in August 2004 as well so history already repeated itself last year. That said though, Melbourne do look a little more solid than they did this time last year.

Must be tough for those Melbourne based sides to travel 6 times in a year. What a load of schit Mal! Travel schmavel, all sides have to do it,well, not Essington or Colligwood, but travel can not be used as an excuse for fade outs.Feeble mentallity and poor coaching can.
PAFC. Forever.

This could be the year that my Crows Gold membership pays off as I am guaranteed a GF ticket. Don't really care what I pay for it. But it will cost me a whole $3.30 to get to the ground

BOONEY

Agree BUT Melbourne in 2004 +2005 they travelled in a
short span of time in one clump from memory both years.
Last year was about 4 times in 6 weeks towards the end
of the season...i think they were top before the clump travelling.
They missed the double chance because of it as well.

I think that bracket of travelling was starting with the ML V BL
game at the gabba[which was stupid melbournes home game]

Anyway if they make the GF i hope they win if SK or AC or PP
are ot playing them.

So what if Melb have to travel a few extra times a year interstate? There is nothing that anyone can say that justifies WC, FREM, ADL, PA, BRIS and SYD having to travel usually 10 times interstate and teams like COLL, ESS and RICH have to travel less than 5.

Sort of makes me proud that Melbourne have to travel a little more, like the Kangaroos to Canberra, and WB to Sydney. Sort of makes it feel more "national" like the big guys claim the game is...
