They get up to one from each club right? So lets get a list together and start speculating.

Adelaide -
Brisbane - Michael Rischitelli
Carlton -
Collingwood -
Essendon - I was thinking Michael Hurley, but apparently he just resigned so perhaps Angus Monfries
Fremantle - Byron Schammer
Geelong - Gazza Jnr
Hawthorn - Campbell Brown
Melbourne -
North Melb -
Port Adel - Nathan Krakouer
Richmond - Dustin Martin
Sydney -
St Kilda - Jason Gram
Western Bulldogs - Ryan Griffen
West Coast -

I understand people get sucked in by newspaper reports all the time, but getting sucked in by not reading them correctly??

The only way Martin could end up at the GC is by being traded. He is contracted to Richmond until the end of 2011 so he will definitely not be at the Lifeguards... He may end up at GWS though, but hopefully he realises there is a light at the end of the tunnel at richmond!

well said CK :ymapplause:
2020 AFL Premiers: Richmond 12.9.81 def Geelong 7.8.50
2019 AFL Premiers: Richmond 17.12.114 def Greater Western Sydney 3.7.25
2017 AFL Premiers: Adelaide 8.12.60 def by Richmond 16.12.108
2012 D5 Premiers: Brahma Lodge 24.15.159 def Hope Valley 7.13.55

There is only speculation about him going to GWS not GC. Any speculation about him going to the GC i have not heard, and as i stated he will only end up at the GC if Richmond trade him. This WILL NOT happen, unless we were to receive picks their first 3 picks!

Still, there has not been speculation about him going to the GC

They'll be in need of a quality ruckman, and with Ottens and Tomahawk moving from tall foward to ruck and both of them able to hold the rucks down, he might realise the writing is on the wall and start looking elsewhere.

Or, maybe Trent West or the third string ruckman, the man with two surnames (Dawson Simpson) might be looking for a new home.

No way will Blakey go North. Bomber loves the guy because of his ability to stay on the park. Blake is coming along nicely and while he is not the best ruckman in the competition he does a bloody good job at Geelong, especially with his tap work.

Otto is just about done. I reckon that it will be Blakey and Hawkins who might lead the ruck for Geelong into the future. Hawkins looks twice the player when given time in the ruck. I reckon West is a candidate to head North but Simpson's not going anywhere. If you are looking at a club with a zillion ruckmen you need look no further than Sydney.

Seaby, Mumford, White, Currie and Pyke. Currie could be one that heads North out of that lot. By the way boys, Gazza isn't a Budgie Smuggler just yet.

just saw vision of Karmichael Hunt training with GFC and to be honest he didnt look too bad. He holds the ball a bit different, but his handballing and kicking are ok. They only showed one kick but it was pretty much lace out...def not at AFL level yet, but he will be playing in the VFL this weekend I think....

Ryan Fitzgerald said on 5AA that he has been offered a 66% pay increase if he decided to join the Gold Coast. I have no idea what he's on at the moment but it looks very inviting for him.

Unfortunately, I fear you and NM are both right. Us Cat fans are trying to accept the fact that the great man is going to go but of course we are all hoping he won't. Hopefully we can nab a third flag to ease the pain. Perhaps with the additional salary cap space we can snaffle a talented player to take Gazza's place or hang on to the rest of our team with the additional money once Sheedy's wankers start calling.

Geelong could in fact be worse off if he stays. The strength of our club is that they have taken paycuts to stay together. If Gazza stays he will be on a lot more than his team mates and that could be a larger crack in the juggernaut than adding Duncan or or our new recruit into the midfield rotations.

If Gazza goes it will blow but compared to Ayres and Colbert walking out on us 11 years ago when we were 5hite and broke to boot then it's nothing. Gazza has given us half of his career and I'm hoping he chooses to remain a Geelong legend rather than a Gold Coast mercenary.

Hmm I wonder what Boak and Lids are doing next year. ;)

Martin is a main target for GWS not the Gold Coast.

The Big Q from WCE is looking very likley.

Rumour is Steven Salopek has purchased a house on the GC and is on the move (Leigh Colbert on AFL Teams)

If the Gold Coast land half the players they ahve been chasing it will be a joke. Seriously, the amount of room they have in that cap is astounding really. I know they wont be a super power straight away but with the senior players there likely to get with all the draft picks it wont take long before they start to rip along.

With the sheer number of players who have been listed in various outlets as lflying to the Gold Coast and looking at real estate, I can see why the G.F.C has subsided. The real estate industry must be in one of its biggest booms ever, and the airline industry must also be doing a roaring trade.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Well to be honest that wont bother me as much if they go and pick up say, Salopek, Ablett, Lynch, Harbarow, Petard, Bock, Tuck, Campbell Brown and then probably schammer from freo. Thats 10 possibilities really. Through in all those draft picks then all the cash they have payed Hunt to come across from the NRL, and although thats probably not that much coin all up, but 1.5 Mil for Gaz, 600K for Bock. Salopek wont be up there for less than 500K. STtill thats 2.6 mil of 3 guys, like seriously how big is there cap?
