I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

what ever happened to the coach pulling the club champion aside before selection to let him know that he is going to be dropped and give him the chance to put his hand up for retirement and make this his last game.

The most under-rated & most consistant player ever for the Crows in my book & can't get a send off game.
AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE ADELAIDE FOOTBALL CLUB.
The real bad times are just beginning for the Crows.
A mass exit is my prediction.

LMFAO - it gets better!!

The club crumbles to a players request. I dont care who it is or how many games he has played. This is GOLD ,where is Gingernuts when I want him?

Why? It isn't one of our players, it isn't my club and I don't expect this sort of stuff would happen outside a club in turmoil. For a club to bow down to a player is poor form and if and when it happens at my club I will be just as scathing. So, does he need to train next week to get his farwell game?

The real disgraces are the idiots calling Edwards a cry baby and a dummy spitter. Edwards has been a loyal servant of the club for 321 matches, and some of the comments made about him in the past 24 hours have been totally uncalled for.

*ahem* 320.

Clearly this isn't a good situation for the club nor Edwards and there must be someone that caused this "Im going" - "No you're not" situation. So who cocked it up,club or player?

REB & Booney need to take a good hard look in the mirror, and realise that they perhaps have zero idea about the circumstances leading to this decision, & just what Tyson has put his body through to play 320 games for the AFC. He is undisputadly 1 of the top 5 players that has ever put on a Crows jumper & should be thanked accordingly. If his form warrented dropping (which is up for debate) then so be it, but for a club to deny the bloke the chance to take his boys out on AAMI Stadium 1 last time & give the loyal fans a chance to say goodbye as a player, not rolled around the boundry in a ute, was (& I say was because they have come to their collective senses), an absolute disgrase.

It has since come to light that he has been carrying a hip injury for the last 4 weeks, but continued to put his hand up to play, because lets face it, a 1/2 fit Edwards is better then anything we have in the SANFL.

Show some respect, & even if you dont agree with what is going on, Simply say "Fantastic career, & thanks for the 16 years of amazing footy" To hide behind a key board & take pot shots at a bloke integridy is a true sign of your own inadiquencies as most probably either blokes who have never played footy, or were B Graders at local level at best

Haha - Pot shots? Why should I thank a bloke who fronts up for a club I seriously dislike? I acknowledge he is a quality bloke on and off the field but this case, even a Collingwood fan could admit, stinks of a bloke who spat it beacuse he was dropped, fair enough. Then the club has done a U-Turn to allow him a farewell game.

Yep, all rosy this one.

Don't need to thank him Booney but don't really need to comment then either if its a club you dislike so much. That's why it was taken as a pot shot, whether it was or not... ;)

I agree it doesn't appear rosy but is there anything wrong with the club admitting they erred and reversing their decision ?? It's a bold move and whether it was done to keep him happy or to keep the swell of angry supporters happy who really cares in teh end. I think all parties have made blunders on this one...
