the list goes on, i would like to see what every one elses oppinion is on this matter

funny you should mention him! me and a mate of mine have only just in the last couple of weeks starting describing a bad game as a Ty Zantuck! if we see someone having a shocker on the park, we call him TeeZee!

and another to add to the list.

So when Geelong play Hawthorn you'd be happy for Gaz Jnr to run free and tear up..or would you rather them put Sewell or Mitchell on him to shut him down.

What about when Hawthorn play St Kilda, and Stephen Milnes kicking a bag, you'd be fine with that as long as theres no one having to be a tagger and stop the opposition getting the upper hand.

Taggers are necessary in my opinion. Man on man footy makes for good viewing because theres a lot more contested ball...

Personally I Think anyone who makes it to the AFL is not a terrible player but for the sake of the thread here goes:

Dale Thomas
Leigh Brown
Tarkyn Lockyer
Anthony Rocca
Jay Schulz

Reckon that's a bit stiff on Lockyer. Sure he's not a star, but I reckon he is one to be admired for making the most of his ability.

i know he's far from a 100 gamer/10 yearer, but i only just learnt about this guy last night!

Richard Lounder. Pick #1 in the 1987 draft for Richmond. 4 games, 5 kicks, 5 goals.

and 4 of those goals were on debut! so (i presume) in the next 3 games he only had 1 kick!

Dale Thomas a terrible player? I think by the time he finishes his career he'll be remembered as an accomplished player. I think he's improved out of sight this season. Lockyer is also not a dud IMO.

Ebert seems to have done a good job for the Power today, and I never thought of Liptak as a dud...

I knew there'd be some contention about me mentioning Ebert from some, fair enough.
However, he's midfield size and plays as a forward pocket pretty much permanently.
He never bags too many goals, picks off the occasional small bag.
A player of his size should be in the midfield or bagging many goals.
He's not a stong midfield player wracking up possies and is not an example of the modern day goalsneak.
This has nothing to do with him being 'the son of'....

Ebert has been a little disappointing the last few years, but i'm not sure i'd put him in the "terrible" category. He can be very good, but he can be very poor as well.

Ideally he'd be playing in the forward pocket or flank, and not being the main man deep in attack as he so often is.

Dog_ger tells me Brett is better than Russell, and i'm not sure Russell was "terrible". :)
