Voice - I'm guessing you might remember that comment to Mick about "You will never play league football", as if IIRC correctly, you were standing there when it was said....

I also began my junior footy at the Eagles and was a yr below him with my brother playing in that grade and dont remember him bein there. Remember him lining up for the hawks though as we got older and his domination grew. Not that everyone at that age knew who Mick O was.

He's been a great player Micky but he should forget the 300 and go now. He's done. A selfish way to go out?

He's contracted til season's end, he's informed the club that his time is up. If his body holds up and his form warrants a spot in the side no reason to see him not finish the year out as the Swans highest game player....

Not too selfish in my view....

i was thinking that exact same thing. he was a great player in his prime and he looks to be struggling a bit out there at the moment. very fine career with or without the 200 :D

That's the if for mine. Perhaps denying the milestone might do the club more harm than good though hence my question mark.

Definitely remember it being said. Not sure if I was standing there or not, as I advised you in my pm that a mis-spent youth growing up in Elizabeth has taken a toll on my brain cells :weedman:
I do remember him being at the Centrals GF celebrations in 95 and having a chat and a brew or two with him.

Heard Mick on AA for the first time tonight and have to say, that he came across as an ultra impressive bloke ... Would definitely be opportunities for him after playing footy ... Has been an excellent player for a long time, and will be long remembered in footy circles
