I was actually going to put Keating in ahead of Darren Smith.............but Keating does have a premiership medallion I guess.

Darren Jarman by a mile for mine. I also voted for Modra who was just a freakish natural talent and sheer grit and determination of the Roo.

If I was to vote for the most influentual I would vote for Rehn. Without him fit in the rucks that Crows side was nowhere near a premiership winning combination despite the efforts of McLeod, Roo, Jarman ......and Aaron Keating.

REB

Not a bad point you touch on Reberta, Rehn's biggest value in 97 (IMHO of course) was the fact that he allowed Pittman to go back on Stewy Loewe and keep him relatively quiet (as Pittman did a few times on big names) ... If Pittman is forced to ruck, I don't think Adelaide would have had a matchup for Buckets.

A bit harsh on Marshall there. He impressed me when given the chance at AFL level despite already being in his 30's. As a Port supporter i always appreciated how good he was at SANFL level throughout the 80's. If he went to the VFL/AFL 5 or 7 years earlier than he did, i'm certain he would have succeeded.

for me it would be jarman mcloed and the roo... jarman was just freakish in his own way... not saying that macca and roo arnt or wernt, but the way jarman stept around players and turned something special out of nothing at all was exceptional ! for me he was our best by far. i was looking at the achievements these guys have and all are great but for me its our they played at there peak and when they were on song. jarman is number one for me

Hands down with out a doubt for me would have to be McLoed. Not only the greatest Crow but AFL player IMO. Cant believe no one has brought up Wayne "The KING" Carey. Nobody slid into a goal post like that guy.
