I'm not sure here which the Fev did...

It doesn't get more public than Federation Square.

That's the issue for me. I don't mind a group of young men who have worked hard getting together, having a few beers, letting their hair down and doing silly things. If Fev wants to wear a nightie with a sex toy protruding from it, that's fine.

However, it's where they elect to do it, and Fev just doesn't seem to understand this. The public should not have to tolerate this kind of stupidity. Not everyone has the mentality of a footballer.

Fev, with his dildo, was doing what plenty of other blokes have done on footy trips/ buck's shows, sorry.
Women get up to that sort of caper on their end of year trips/ hen's nights too.

It's not world class comedy, but it's not uncommon either.

I think it's fine that these blokes let their hair down. However, the club's need to take a little bit more responsibility for it - in this day and age of apparent ultra conservatism fuelled by a media keen to grab anything and turn it into a controversy.

Clubs really need to allow these guys to have their fun - but why don't they organise a bus or transport for them from venue to venue. Leaving blokes to find their own way home is just asking for trouble, especially when they have a profile through football.

Yep I agree with DW.
There was nothing harmful in what Fev did.
He made a goose out of himself and that's about it.
Did he abuse anyone? No.
Did he hurt anyone? No.

Well said. The photo's taken were when the boys where moving venues, and walking to the bus hence the slightly grainy out of focus look...

Rumour has it that Juddy wore a Gimp mask in the first venue and was downing Jaggerbombs through the Gimp hole (Allegedly)...
mmmm Don't see any photo's of that. The boys asked people NOT to take photo's but were more then happy to sign autographs etc.

The media has a lot to answer for, in regard to it's conduct IMO. They better be out there EVERY night taking photo's of EVERY drunk bloke
with a strap on stuck to his forehead, and every drunk chick sucking on penis straws....

Who cares if they are footballers. They are people who do a job. Lets follow the photographers around and take pictures of them when they
do something stupid or wrong....

And the role model crap...GIVE ME A BREAK...If your kid is looking for a role model and doesn't use their parents as one, then perhaps the parents should look at their parenting skills.

Firstly, Fev knew he'd be photographed he's already proven he loves the publicity .... let's not kid ourselves that he is being victimised when he's out in Federation Square in broad daylight with a dildo. There would have been 1,000 potential photographers on hand with media + everyone with a mobile phone. He just had to take the costiume off for the 5 minutes it took to get to the bus.

Juddy may have carried on but, from what you say, it stayed in the pub. Smart man ...

Secondly, they are role models for kids there's no point us or the players trying to deny it. Don't you remember idolising footy players when you were growing up? Anywy, that's a whole other debate.

Back on topic. No, Fev didn't hurt anyone and, yes, plenty of people do similar on bucks shows, etc. As DW says, I think the clubs need to take more responsibility for transport and have some minders to keeps the media in line and to keep the players out of this sort of trouble. Even tho its harmless lets be honest it's generated more bad PR for him and the club.

medical attention...

And a lot of the posts are very general and not mentioning Dildola either, jabber. Just accept the fact he's a tool that can play footy!

Whilst I agree to a degree with your role model comment, kids will always look up to footy players and take an interest when they see them in the news. Not sure this is the kind of news Fev will be particularly proud of if his kids were old enough to watch the news.
