True, but better than an elimination final and being knocked out in week 1

Thats is one good side, probably the best we have put on the park all year, despite having a tough run with injuries we have now got most of them back (wasnt aware Edwards was so close to coming back, along with Campbell another headache for Chocco!)

Take Grant and Simpson out of that side and you have a team that will be together for at least the next 3-4 years....

Memo to some Victorian "Powerhouse" Clubs - Proof you dont need to bottom out to be successful....its the easy option though which I think they have taken....

Don't have to bottom out to be successful? What success have you had recently? You consistently fold in the big games.

Whose bottomed out? Success? FFS who was the best team of the last decade? Hawks, Bullies, Sydney, Collingwood were all big games this year which we didnt lose....No mention of if the Crows beat St Kilda they would have got 4th?

If you are talking about the 1990's then once again Rooster Marty's point remains relevant. What success have you had recently? Anyway in the 90's 3 teams won 2 flags so your claim to being the best team of that decade isn't cut and dry.

Oh, and as for big games you guys didn't lose well a game against a team sitting 13th with a win giving you 4th spot isn't one of those

Come on Rod, we all know who the team of the 90's is, 3 teams won 2 flags yes but what other team made 6 straight prelim finals?

your just shitty that the Roos are now in the Hawks side of the draw!

I might be concerned should the Roos beat Sydney but i cannot see that happening to be honest

As for the Roos being the team of the 90's each to their own but i am of the opinion that if you don't win you may as well come last. Prelims mean nothing to me nor do losing GF performances. Only the premiers have a successful year. I know a lot of people will argue this but it is how i see it and therefore as far as i'm concerned the team of the 90's is a tie between 3 clubs. Put it this way if team A plays in 10 prelims in ten years but doesn't win a flag and team B finishes bottom 9 years out of those 10 but wins the flag in the other year i reckon team B has been more successful.

PS - Should the Hawks fail to win the flag then it is yet another unsuccessful year for my side IMO. Just as last season was unsuccessful for North Adelaide.
