THE AFL Tribunal tonight cleared Adelaide defender Nathan Bassett of striking Brisbane's Jed Adcock.
Bassett flew to Melbourne for tonight's hearing and successfully argued he was trying to block Adcock from gaining possession when his forearm made contact with his opponent's neck and throat.
Bassett would have missed the round-14 match against Geelong if he was found guilty.
The Crows have this weekend off as part of the split round and host the Cats on July 4.
