Good % booster which was expected.

Best players for mine were van Berlo, Bock, Burton and Porplyzia. Good to see the youngster all have good games, the highlight being Vince/vB's work in the midfield and Mackay's great run and carry on the wing.

That's a given though. He will be such a gun down the road. I have such confidence with him in the square. Bomb it long and chance are he'll mark it. He was robbed a few times by the umpires today and could've kicked 6.

Gold Coast will turn out to be worse than Freo so hopefully he shows more intelligence than Pavlich and commits to the Crows.

If you were Tippett, would you be signing a long term deal with Adelaide ? I wouldnt !!!

He is in the box seat. Sign a 2 year deal with AFC, when that expires, Gold Coast will be ready to go. Then he has 2 huge offers to chose from, probably both 3 year deals. AFC will have to offer him a massive deal for him to sign for 3 years now. And i mean MASSIVE !!! $$$$$

As good as his avatar. Quality.

The Crows should be doing everything to get him signed long term. I don't think he'll sign anything more than a 2 year deal though.

His manager wouldn't let him sign anything longer than that! He is easily that good too... worth every cent we pay him. He must be offered a HUGE deal by us to keep him here instead of wasting away in the football graveyard at the GC.

I guess alot depends on just how passionate he is to play for a GC team. Because a footy backwater is what it'll be for quite a while. He'll never be the player he can be with the GC, that he could be at a club like Adelaide.
I can never quite come to terms with the choices that players make when deciding to change clubs for the sake of $$$$. Nor when I hear commentators mention the "you're only in football for a short period of time and you have to make hay while the sun shines" crap. Why do footballers play football? Because they love it hopefully, the $$ should be an added bonus, in the AFL's case, a huge added bonus but if a player is happy at a club and playing well then why on earth would you change clubs for an extra 50,000/100,000. Considering you're already getting 3-400,000.

These days, there is very good money to be made out of footy.. but how much more would he get at the GC than he would at Adelaide?? Would that compensate for the lack of big games and finals matches that he will get at Adelaide? It wouldn't be a great move if he headed north.
