LOL Adelaide? Tough? LMAO

FD88 wrote:You only have to compare Westhoff to Tippett to notice the discrepancy in player builds. Tippett is younger than Westhoff, has played a lot less footy yet is streets ahead physically.

Forgive if i'm wrong, isn't Tippett meant to be a devoloping ruckman? Westhoff isn't.

Agree with you there.

FD88 wrote:The pressure is right on them without question, and I wish their kids luck trying to outmuscle the mature-bodied likes of Porplyzia, Vince, Tippett and others.

LOL... ummm LOL did you pull those names from a hat?

I kinda agree with your argument, but the names you drop kinda make your argument a joke!!

You give no reasoning for your laughter. So Adelaide isn't a tough, big-bodied side? It's okay for Westhoff to be skinny as a ****ing rake because he's not in the ruck? Tippett isn't a strongly built player who is streets ahead of Westhoff physically? Porplyzia isn't a tough in-and-under player? Vince doesn't get in the packs and extract the contested ball? Your responses contain nothing to confirm or deny what I'm saying, hence they are a joke.

The simple fact that Adelaide has consistently beaten Sydney at its own game proves that it plays its footy hard and tough. I cannot believe any of you are disputing this as there is no valid argument against it. There is, however, a clear query over Port's ability to play this type of game.

If Port can display similar work ethic and team work to what Adelaide and Sydney do,we would be much better off IMO.

You know full well what happened running into the GF. An Eagles outfit running on one leg, a talentless Kangaroos outfit. Port supporters, and indeed the rest of the competition deep down inside, know that Port wasn't the most worthy opponent for the Cats. But credit to them, they made it to that final match with a side that had no right to get there. Of course, we all know what happened when they came up against a genuinely physical side; there was nowhere to hide, nowhere to run, they couldn't handle contested footy when it came right down to it, and they will continue to struggle with this (the whole foundation of footy) until they start blooding some hunters of the ball.

I'm so ******* sick of hearing this shit argument. Port made the GF because they were one of the best 2 teams - PERIOD. The other teams didn't make the GF because they weren't bloody good enough. Yes Port got thumped, but they were clearly the next best placed side to be competing in the GF.

Either way Port got there and full credit to them but when they did get there they were exposed in contested footy, and badly too. You don't think it's an issue?

IF the Crows are so tough, why didn't they beat the Western Bulldogs?

Western Bulldogs have a running style game.....

Not true- had Port played Geelong in the Prelim Final, it would've been a Collingwood v Geelong GF
