BTW, a West Coast rookie, by the name of Chris Masten,was charged with disorderly
conduct overnight/this morning.

Chris Masten was the number 3 draft pick.

The club has suspended him for the pre season and fined him $2000

Yes there are rumours that he is or was a bit of a party boy with a temper but lets give the kid a chance. Although not the best start.

He has had OP and is not as good as Cotchin IMO so was probably never going to go number 1 even if he did not have these question marks about his lifestyle.

Well, both 3AW and Channel 9 have decided they have enough info to terminate contract discussions for 2008

He's probably done in his chances of being a head coach at AFL level too

On a personal level IF these stories are true then there seems to be some serious issues he is facing lets hope he sorts himself out (IF he needs to)

August 2005: Carey leaves a crowd of 200 guests at a Gold Coast sportsman's lunch stunned when he opens his speech with a joke about his affair with Stevens' wife.

February 2006: Carey separates from wife Sally less than two months after the birth of their first child.

October 2007: Carey allegedly attacks his girlfriend Katie Neilson while on holiday in the US and then assaults police called to their Miami hotel room.

January 2008: Carey arrested for assaulting police during a domestic dispute with Neilson at his home in Port Melbourne. His media career is in tatters as 3AW and the Nine Network decide not to renew their contracts with the disgraced star.

Seems obvious that most of his problems have surfaced since pulling on the tri colours

Pulled them on in 2003 and took them off in 2004 which leaves just one incident above.
