WAYYY too good the Cats. I wanted a Cats and Dogs double but this was too much.
I guess Port peaked 1 week too early, pity.
Very sad and it hurts me to say - disgraceful performance

I'm not sure how any of the other 14 sides would have gone in Port's place TBH

Roos did better 3 weeks ago.... [-X [-X [-X

Westoff took small strides last week and completed the "sh1itting himself" this week...as for superstar Motlop

and to those Port fans that mouthed off at me last week - Image

good to see 7 Glenelg players out there today and 5 born and bred on Brighton Rd

Heard williams say in a press conference that todays effort by Geelong came from 44 years of tourment. That showed today and as Billy Brownless said after the game the win was not only about the players on the filed but everyone involved in the club both past and present.

Congrats to Geelong

Well done Geelong, way too good! Congratulations.

I can only start to imagine what it must feel like for you Westsider. Bad luck mate. You know that every crow supporter with access to t net will probably get on here and bag you. Chin up, the boys must learn from this, and probably spend this summer in the Gym.

I give credit where credit it due... and lots of credit to Geelong. Way better team on the day, didn't get sucked into the mind games and played a really good brand of football. Enjoy every damn minute of it... because I did in 2004.

As for the crows supporters bagging us... well I'm not going to bite too hard. Regardless of margins the best team was Geelong... and the 2nd best was Port... don't think I need to remind the Crow's where they finished this year.

Onto the SANFL.. oh shit, magpies are out.. BRING ON CRICKET lol.

As evidenced in my other topic I think Port have done a fantastic job this year but IMHO Collingwood have claims to be the 2nd best side this year.

I understand your thinking Wedgie.. but they didn't make the Grand Final and they didn't finish top 4 either... anyway.. get off the damn net and enjoy your ******* win!

Collingwood made the top 4 in getting into the Prelim IMHO, they had the heart to get within a kick of us despite not having a ruckman.
I can't say enough about Collingwood, I copped flack for last week suggesting that was the GF there and then but it turned out to be right.

I'm not getting off the net, Im taking it easy at home as I've got another Prelim to worry about tomorrow.
It never stops!

Collingwood also lost to the Lions by over 100 points (also lost to Richmond), and played some fairly crap footy at the half way mark of the year. Fortunately for them they appeared to peak during the finals (which i accept is a good way to go) but i dont think their form overall was any better than Port's throughout the whole season.

What a day for the Cats!

And isn't Mark Williams an enigma, one minute being called arrogant and showing no respect for the opposition. The next he's in their huddle congratulating them - full credit for that. Gutsy after that hiding.

Agree DW, that was a top gesture by Williams.

Geelong seemed pretty humble in victory. Genuinely sensed they were achieving something with their mates, rather than with a group of footballers.

Also, with the way the competition is structured these days, it is great to see Geelong still have ties with their local area, with many players from the area originally. Ironically, this is where people thought Port would be advantaged with the PAM's as well, but they don't seem to have drafted too many from there of late.
