back into Finals form before Tim Ginever took the helm...

Agree with you there, struggled with the Magpies at SANFL, only lasted 1 year there, and i'm pretty sure the Bendigo Bombers haven't done any thing special either.

Going to be a extremely tough introduction into the world of AFL coaching for Knighta , he was out his depth when coaching the Magpies and knew it . I remember listening to a 3/4 time speech of his in a game against Centrals and it reminded me of my sons little league coach , the players weren't even looking into his eyes , were talking amongst themselves and had there heads dropped .... if the boys did that whilst under Williams , Cahill even Ginevar they would of got a almighty rocket . If you can't get players respect at SANFL level what chance have you got at AFL level, the assistance at Essendon are going to need to help him out big time or the wheels could seriously fall off . Life after Sheedy and Hird doesnt look bright for the near future and i can see Essendon using Knights as the fall guy and get axed in 1 or two years to have a favorite son like Harvey or Thompson back to resarect the club from disaster .

Which is a coaching management strategy which has worked wonders for Richmond while they waited in vain for Sheedy to return.

Been LMAO at this one all day. Just doesn't make sense.
Port people seem to say that Knights tried to mess with the culture at the Magpies. Why would you want to do that for? It would be like Bill Gates hiring a CEO for Microsoft and then having him trying to change what is already a more than succesful thing, there's just no need to do it and to give him 3 years!!!!! I just can't believe it.
