yes just saw that tonight, the most under rated Captian in the AFL....but quite possibly the best at the moment

For Port fans I reckon the wildcard could be Edwards....whats your matchup?

Cracking quote by Simpson.

As for Edwards, I think I'd rather rely on someone who's played more than 6 games and kicked more than 6 goals for their career to get us over the line. Wilbur will give him a bath.

Keys for Port:

K Cornes stopping B Harvey or D Harris (Dom Cass stopping B Harvey if K Cornes doesn;t get the job)
B Ebert kicking 2 or 3 minimum
D Brogan being fit and dominating the backline when resting from the ruck.

Power by 2 goals for me.

I know you'll hate me for this Dutchy, but full respect to the Kangas. You gotta respect the spirit in that team. I wish I could be there (bloody missus!!!) not only to hopefuly see Port win, but to see Arch in his last game - if it turns out that way. Great player.

I would think Pettigrew will get Edwards there Dutchy.

Pettigrew can play tall and small, has the ability to run off (which,IMO you must be willing to do to drag an Edwards up the field out of his comfort zone) and is good in the air.

Noted in yesterdays paper the keen return of Leigh Brown to stand Tredrea could be on the cards?

Ill surrender now if Brown gets back in the team....Im hoping hes played his last game for us

Im not relying on Edwards DA, I just think he is the wildcard and can be difficult to match up on...he basically won the final for us last week with his 4 goals in a low scoring game

Wilson wont get him, would love it if he did, but I think Mr Boon is on the mark

Saw Swamps against Shockers ressies and in no way did they inspire me. They can fall out of a game very quickly and look disinterested. Kangas don't do that. There either in the game or totally out of it. Very little middle ground. AAMI Stadium holds no fears neither do the Swamps. Archer's possible last game and the boys will be wanting to send him off with a bang. Dream about a GF after this game is over and not before. Should be a cracker and Kangas have a habit of winning close ones also.

All the talk of a Port GF is shitting me. You're absolutely correct - Port need to win this week and that's all that needs to be considered.

It will be a cracker. Port also has a habit of winning the close ones. 4 of the last 5 weeks in fact.

I think the Kangas will use the 'hit em hard' pressure approach which has got them where they are. Port will rely on clean posession hard running game.

What do you mean think. This is a certainty. Expect someone like Shaun Burgs to go down in the first 5 mins from a cheap shot.

If the Kanga's play with the same desire, intend and hunger for the contest as they did last week, they will be a big show

Yeah, should have clarified by saying that is their advantage. If they do it as well as they did against the Hawks, the Power could struggle. Wilbur will give as good as he gets though!

Well good luck to your dutchy. I would say you would be confident. As you have previously stated after the power beat the eagles, there are no fears on that side of the draw now.

Bring on this round of games, should be some good football.

Hmmm...Roos take in a fully fit unchanged line up....Power risking a struggling veteran and their key goal kicker....surely not a time to take risks?

Just read that this is the Kangaroos first final outside of Victoria in the clubs history. Not that it makes a lick of difference, just thought that was interesting in this day and age.

Any news from Kangas training Dutchy? Did you get your pic with Arch?
