I would have thought ur right BP, has been a strange non-selection this year

Yep that's for sure - he has impressed me everytime I see him play and he looked good the small run he got when he and Gilly made their debuts.

how many players do each club have to get rid of??? they have to delist a certain number each year...

and as for ian perrie. he questioned his love for the game him self and he said after his knee injury last year that if he got injured again he would retire.. so i would exspect him to be forced or choose to retire him self with Nick gill sure to get a contract exstension beyond this year

I think all up each club has to draft at least 3 players, this is the main variable, and then if players are upgraded from rookie list this influences what happens with the list as well.

There must be enough guys ahead of Campbell to clear spots on the list without denying him another season

Having said that, altho he looked good in his debut game at times, he also pulled a few clangers and didn't look ready. He is definitely behind his peers at this stage of his career.

on Campbell

I'm not sure how this kid goes, I know the Crow's identified him as a potential defensive midfielder, he injured his ankle badly at the begining of the year, and like most I found it strange the Crows dropped him after one performance, so where does this place the kid???

That was Archard, he was a rookie and would have been delisted from rookie list more than likely anyway.

Perrie -goodbye!
Jericho -gone this time
Doughty and Shirley -last chances? Thought Shirley came back pretty well after being dropped, but still an ordinary player.
Mattner -will be retained, but must improve weaknesses in his game and play wing
Meeson -Craig says he's a required player, but how badly will he want to keep him?
McGregor -too slow, falls over too easily, no recovery -lucky to get 4 goals yesterday I thought, someone might want him
Campbell -unlucky with injury and non-selection, good player and deserves another go
Burton -erratic and frustrating player, but will stay for sure
Thompson -I am a critic for sure. Burns a lot of possession and gives away too many frees including 2 crucial final qtr ones yesterday. If he is our B&F then that's a concern really. He is a reasonably good player, but that is all.
Gill -retain

Campbell is 100% safe. He's said numerous times he's looking forward to having a big PS to get his body right.

I'm sorry but anyong bagging Thompson is clueless. Sure he's not the best user of the ball and he makes his fair share of mistakes, but he had a BRILLIANT season.

580 possessions (AFC leader), 5.73 marks, 4.39 tackles (AFC leader) and 16 goals.

And a big chance for our next captain. Unlucky to miss AA but will win B&F. Gun.

Thompson and Burton will surely not be traded, as for Jericho, Meesen, Perrie, Doughty etc I doubt anyone would be willing to take these guys on for much more than 3rd/4th round draft picks.
The crows only option to trade someone of any worth would probably be McGreggor and with 3-4 years left in him they wont get too much in return anyway

Thompson is not going anywhere...neither is Bode.
Welsh would be my second pick after Perrie. His year was ordinary at best.
If McGregor isnt going to get a game every week get rid of him as well.
Look to the future FFS - now is the time to get rid of all the fringe players and start afresh.

Thank god you are a supporter and not the one making the decisions down there

Knee-jerk, poorly thought out over-reactions will get us nowhere - look at Carlton to see how long it takes to get back once you clean out and 'start afresh'

Then you say keep Bode and lose Welsh who kicked 49 goals

McGregor is excellent back-up and possibly a first choice player IMO - how many big guys that can take a strong mark and kick as accurately as him do we have? He played well on Saturday

About the only thing I agree with you on is Thomson - people saying he should go are simply Crow-haters stirring the pot

I would definately keep Hinge, has been excellent for teh Bays, never going to be a superstar at AFL level but would fill a half back flank nicely for 100 games....you would be better off getting rid of Doughty than him

Do you think Welsh will kick 49 goals next year Hondo when Hentschel is back?
Bode is the best in and under player in the side, something we missed dearly this year.
Have to also ask questions about Biglands. Might not come up ala Primus a few years ago.
