Has Brad Johnson really had that outstanding a season? (legitimate question, I wouldn't know ebnough about his performance but from the little Ive seen of the Dogs he's seemed far less dominant than last season)

I think P. Burgoyne off HBF has been playing sensational footy this year.

Brent Harvey on the bench? He has had a much better year than Goodwin, Hodge, Corey, McLeod and probably Bartel

ummmmm yeah :?

I think there's some truth in what SS says - often there is a stray key position player or 2 filling flanks and pockets in AA teams

Not all possies tho, but more than 2 if you get what I mean

Just on that Dutchy, does Boomer have legitimate claims to win the Brownlow this year do you think?

Especially if you look at the forward line of an All-Australian team. i.e. Brown would possibly be taking someone like a Pavlich.

I had him starting, but bumped him to the bench at the last minute.

My Side
F: L.Franklin F: M.Pavlich C Jones
HF: L Hodge J.Brown B.Harvey
C: S.Mitchell Foley K.Cornes
HB: C Cornes B.Rutten A.McLeod
B: N.Malceski D.Glass S Fisher
R: B Lade J.Bartel G.Ablett
I: Ottens Bell Scarlett Adcock

This is always a tough gig, but I think some of the players named have been picked on reputation and again, do we pick players in their positrions or do we picl extra midfielders as HB and HF

O'Keefe is a glaring example, my view is he has had a very disappointing year compared to last year's All Aust form

The Full Back position is an interesting one, stat's alone suggest Rutten has average less goals kick on himself then Glass and Scarlett, I believe it is a good selection with Glass at FB and Rutten at CHB, Scarlett on the IC

Cox and Kerr, I am not convinced his year is as good as his previous, and I would replace these two players with Ottens and Foley, both these players have had career best seasons

I would select Corey Jones in front of Ebert, some would argue that Ebert has kicked five more goals, however I believe Jones has more bows to his game

How anybody can leave Daniel Kerr out is astounding.

As for Ben Rutten at centre half back - John Worsfold's use of Quinten Lynch up the ground against the Crows should be all the evidence you would need not to pick Rutten in this position. He looked all at sea.

Kerr will have missed 5 H&A matches, that's quite a few.

Sam Fisher is a good selection sydney-dog. He's played very well every time I've seen him.

Not a bad side..

How you can have Lade and Ottens before Cox and Mcintosh has me wondering though, Cox's reputation may be helping him but make no mistake he has been pretty damn good this year and will be in the side, i also think McIntosh will be on the interchange as well.

Rutten will not be picked at CHB, You cant just place the three best full backs in the side because you cant decide which one to pick. I think it has be Glass or Rutten but knowing that the selectors tend to look favourably to dominant sides, i think Scarlett might get the nod.

My Side

FB- Nick Malceski Darren Glass Campbell Brown

HB- Tarkyn Lockyer Chad Cornes Peter Burgoyne

C- Sam Mitchell James Bartel Andrew McLeod

HF- Brent Harvey Matthew Pavlich, Nick Riewoldt

FF- Lance Franklin Jonathon Brown Brett Ebert

R- Dean Cox, Daniel Kerr, Gary Ablett

Inter- Hamish McIntosh, Kane Cornes, Nathan Foley, Jed Adcock
