Vincent was traded so they could get an early draft pick and had been ordinary the previous 18 months. He won the B&F at an ordinary club

I would pick through 5 years of your club indiscretions but you don't show an allegiance

I don't have an AFL allegiance you can pick through Centrals

Otherwise pick through any AFL club apart from a couple like St.Kilda and Gold Coast not many would have a list that big and including major events

It use to be Carlton though didnt it?????

Yeah until about 96,97 when I was 13,14, they didnt send my signed Kouta birthday card they had guaranteed as part of the kids membership and the dream was over

Well lets say Carlton for argument sakes. Then something about let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Seriously every football club has something. You 40 odf young men on good incomes all together plus panels of people striving to get ahead of the pack. There's always going to be something not above board at all clubs.

I think the thing that doesnt help the Crows culture is the players and staff in recent years they haven't been able to keep. In isolation there's legitimate reasons for most or many, but the fact remains that Tippett, Gunston, Bock, Davis, Dangerfield, Worsfold etc were all wanted but chose to leave.

Port who were on the bones of their ass didn't suffer the same issues with key personnel, re-signing Boak and seemingly an attractive option for sought after recruits. Betts aside (depending on how you view him) the Crows haven't been able to land any bigger names, perhaps since a past it Wayne Carey.

The Crows really need to land an established, or genuine next big thing type, to dispel the feeling or notion that the better players don't find Adelaide an attractive club. And they need to halt the exodus of better players leaving in (or approaching) their prime.

Maybe their stance on Dangerfield could help with this going forward?

You cannot compare Bock and Davis. They were offered overs to the expansion sides with extra salary cap space. Do you say the same about Geelong who couldn't keep Ablett for the same reason?
Gunston was never going to stay and that was a mistake by the Crows by not doing their due dilligence on his personality.
Tippett is...well Tippett.
Danger we know why.
Worsfold its been said his family do not want to live in Adelaide. It would have been the same situation if he helped Port Power out.

As far as recruits are concerned, Betts, Jacobs, S.Thompson to just name three have been brilliant.

Having said that, getting Boak to stay when Port Power were on their knees was massive for them and no doubt gave the club a boost in retaining talent. For the Crows the test next year will be to get D.Talia to stay now, so the saga will continue, just re-hash the same articles and replace the name.

Yep, like I said in isolation there's valid reasons for many of them leaving, but the bottom line is that good players keep leaving, and the club is continually too reliant on Brent Reilly, David Mackay and Nathan Van Berlo types that are OK players, but nowhere near the standard required in a premiership team.

I think every team has those types and you'll find sides outside the top 4 have more.

And will therefore remain outside the top 4.

Big difference between Ablett/Geelong and the Crows who left

Ablett had achieved a lot with Geelong and as well as the money had done as much as you could do with one club, the next challenge in his career was awaiting him

What JK was saying is a major part of my point, it seems as though any one who gets half a chance to get out of the Crows takes it.

Geez even Camporeale doesn't want to coach them

Don't forget Jenkins and lynch as well that we got from other clubs.

Sloane cried on draft day when he found out he was drafted to the crows and is now the heart and soul of the club, and signed this year even after missing out on the captaincy.

Whufc you seem to have lots of opinions for a non afl fan. Not too many of them are anywhere close to the mark.

In losing Davis we used that pick and pick 10 for crouch and brown too which certainly isn't a loss for the crows

Yeah because he would rather be the assistant coach of the same team

Clearly you're just an out and out troll because if you knew anything about professional sport it's that Campo didn't officially put his hand up for the senior coaching job because he knew he wasn't going to get it. That's why he's hoping the Crows will keep him on as an assistant under the next coach ala Mark Bickley.

Crouch was touted as a top 3 pick and we gave up pick 10 to get him in the mini draft - he and jager omeara were the ones picked in the mini draft.
