Yep. Should never have touched him as he was quiet up until then.

Once again you can tell in the first 5-10 mins if Hawthorn show up. Port on top for most of the night IMO. Your backline is better without Carlisle and Trengove I reckon.

Dont have a problem with the Hodge suspension on the surface of it.
BUT, IMO he should be able to argue his case, be cross examined etc etc without risking another week, that is whats wrong with the system. Nobody in their right mind will challenge the penalty in this circumstance, we have 2 weeks off anyway so not going to risk a final.
If Hodge elected to tackle he splits himself up the middle on the point post, if he doesnt shape to bump Wingard COULD possibly have come back into into play. I think the point post should be taken into account. He has a duty of care to himself just as much as Wingard and we would all put our own safety ahead of someone elses.
By Hodge (and other cases) accepting the penalty it creates precedence which hasnt properly been tested in a tribunal situation. Nobody knows what was going through his mind and he should be given the opportunity to express that without risking a further week.

Why would Hodge elect to tackle? The whistle had long gone and the play was dead

Remove Suban's arm from From Mastens mouth and there is no biting charge. Plenty of blokes run into the post, not many squash other blokes into them.

Those Collingwood feral misfits behind the goals at the city end of the MCG.
Quite simply something to behold watching females give the finger whilst spitting foul language at Dusty Martin & Jack Riewoldt.

While they may be extremely representative of all us Collingwood supporters, it's fairly common to see any team's supporters blurting expletives from the fence.

Yep gotta agree with this. I sat for the last quarter behind the goals as we wanted to make a quick exit after the GWS game. It was at this point I understood why some people hate Port supporters. I was embarrassed to hear some of the crap coming out of the mouths of some of the "reptilian maximus". Never again and certainly not with children. Some people are gutter trash, yelling unthinkable obscenities at players who can't even hear them whilst children in the area are forced to be initiated into those below the meaty part of the IQ curb.

Fair to say every team in the AFL has that 2% of their supporter base who are an embarrassment to their club and disgusting to be around at the games. No self respect and no respect for the game and it's players.

No mate, never said they represent the whole fan base. The footage of their actions was all I was talking about.
