What annoyed me with the Franklin decision was how the MRP decided not to sight it because the contact wasn't severe
So i can go out and snot someone in the head on the weekend, as long as they get up and play on i'm all good!? :?

They generally give them out to blokes that play well for more than a half of footy.

That's how bad you're travelling.

Kicks 3 in a half, has one touch after half time and gets named in your best......now you want him to get a Rising Star nomination?

Joe Daniher won the Rising Star Nomination this week after kicking 3.4, having 15 disposals and 9 marks - 6 contested

FWIW:

Cameron kicked 3.1, had 9 disposals and 3 tackles

Meanwhile Grundy carries the ruck for Collingwood every week and can't get a look in.

Is Grundy still eligible?

I agree with your comment, and i've thought he's been good this year, but interestingly he is statistically down on last season (just)

*Edit* Grundy is still eligible.

Luke Lowden waited 5 years before making his AFL debut on the weekend. Played ok I thought and kicked 3 goals, but with Hale & McEvoy expected to return, it appears Lowdens may be once again on the outer.

Would he be looking for opportunities outside Hawthorn at the end of the season and which club would be most in need for another ready made ruckman?

Maybe it's like junior footy and the coach put him in there as an encouragement award

Round 12 - live scores, results & gas bagging.

Joe is coming along beautifully especially considering our diabolical forward line entries. His kicking is still quite average but he is doing some work with Wayne Carey on the side and his contested marking has really come along. Bit of beef on him wont go astray either, anyone know of some good muscle building supplements?

Put him in a Hawthorn guernsey and he gets one. (or any other guernsey apart from a Swans one)
There was no difference between this hit and the one on Malceski last year, apart from the squealing by Malceski and the Swans.

Don't get me wrong I think it was a fair bump and the right decision has been made this time.

More Whorethorn bullshit from the master. At least three times last year Franklin put a nice old swinging arm into a 'tackle'. Didn't even get looked at. Then there was that 'tackle' on the Crows player where he deliberately crunched right down on his neck. Pure WWE stuff from the Buddster. Then there was Hodge's effort of breaking Murphy's jaw...nothing to see here folks.

You've got to be kidding. The MRP is the Hawks secret weapon.

REB

They actually stated on 360 last night that Franklin is the player that has received the most love from the MRP

Could see Lowden kept in the side and Ceglar maybe out. Roughead mentioned that 4 changes in a week would disrupt the side too much, so Ceglar for Big Boy could be the only big man change with Lake expected to come back into the side this week too.

It was a very good goal.

That and Wingards mark will be hard to beat.
