The Brownlow process is imperfect, yet as good as we've got going.
The MVP or the Coaches award could be the mpst prestigious, if the AFL marketed it as such.

If we continue to have amateur hour telecasts and poncy fashion shows with guys on one leg 'earning' more votes than guys who consistently rack up 30 possessions the AFL won't need to do any marketing to increase the prestige of the MVP and Coaches award, that will happen naturally as the Brownlow becomes an irrelevant anacronism.

I reckon bartel has been a bit of an angry ant this year...maybe put off the umps a bit.

Cooney a worthy winner, he got into 2nd favourite in the betting mid way during the year but then drifted big time...

As for worst winners 1982 and brian wilson from the dee's, he even says so himself and it is all he is remembered for.

That's the nature of the award, and why I don't like the amount of prestige attached to it. Wilson had a very good year in 1982, and under the format of the medal, deserved to win it. However, placing him on an honour board which SHOULD be reserved for the greats of the game, is more than I can deal with. There have been a number of others in a similar category.

C'mon mate, it's me you're talking to, that was the first thing I did

(Sidenote: My mate has added Ablett's, Gram's, McVeigh's, Fevola's and Gibb's missus' as friends on Facebook since last night, I'm gonna owe him plenty if they all accept lol)
