The Brownlow process is imperfect, yet as good as we've got going.
The MVP or the Coaches award could be the mpst prestigious, if the AFL marketed it as such.
If we continue to have amateur hour telecasts and poncy fashion shows with guys on one leg 'earning' more votes than guys who consistently rack up 30 possessions the AFL won't need to do any marketing to increase the prestige of the MVP and Coaches award, that will happen naturally as the Brownlow becomes an irrelevant anacronism.
