Not allowed to play competitive sport of any kind if the sport is covered by the WADA code.

That's why the AFL PA are funding them to go to the States to use the facilities over there. Some of the sports in the US aren't under WADA rules so it's all kosher for the players to train with them/use the facilities.

None of the big comps over there are under WADA rules

Where is the clubs punishment in this? 34 players rubbed out what about the club it's self?

Kelly is cooked. Has very little pace and is often caught. Still has the heart to get into heavy traffic but no longer has the motor to drive through it. This leads to him being tackled or hit as he is getting off a disposal. Last year this led to Kel copping a series of injuries throughout the year. Kels efficiency is appalling as well. Don't know the stats but he seemed to send it to the oppo on plenty of occasions last season.

Simpkin might be a good get but Crowley has spent a year out of the game. I don't think their side will be better than last years. They will have old slow blokes and undersized kids. Reminds me of the Brisbane Bears 1987.

None of these blokes come close to the talent of Heppell or a geared up Watson.

How demoralising would it be to be dropped mid season cos you're not up to it. I expect a couple of mid season retirements....

A page is so back I made the comparison after this comment of Watson, Heppell and Hurley to Crowley, Kelly and Dea or Simpkin.

Not even close.

Goddard the new Essendon captain.

At least now he's got the go ahead to give his teammates a bake when they deserve it.

Find it bemusing that his teammates elected him when he berates them week in week out. I guess they had no other option and maybe only he and Baguley put their hand up for it.

Maybe nobody else did, for fear of a BJ spray.

Even though he wasn't in the leadership group, thought zaharakis might have been a chance

There is a reason Zaka isn't in the leadership group, has zero leadership skills and is quieter than a church mouse. New recruits like Francis and Parish are more vocal than him on the track. Zaka also isn't a fan of putting his head over the ball.
Goddard was by far the best choice, most players love him. Even though he can seem like a flog at times he is just so passionate and a professional. He is always the last off the track at trainings and if he he plays poorly he is the first to put his hand up and demand an extra training session. He leads the young men at the club well and is a good teacher. People only see a part of him during games, does plenty behind the scenes also

I used to like him until he was on 360 for a year. Immensely unlikeable
