What match

Geelong v Melbourne, I felt like super spreading my guts all over the bathroom floor this morning after drinking too much before, during and after that match.

30 seconds to go and all Guthrie had to do was the kick the ball up the ground towards Geelong's goals and towards a pack pf players. So he kicks it out of bounds on the full. Close then wins Tool of the Year by belting the ball away gifting Melbourne a 50 metre penalty. And don't forget Bramble for Hawthorn deciding to run 40 metres without bouncing the ball in the dying minutes. This post was brought to you by someone who's grip on $400 first prize in a tipping comp has been severely damaged by Bulldogs, Hawthorn & Geelong....grrr

GWS a big winner in the final placings of the ladder, I bet not even they thought they'd get the no 2 pick when trading for Collingwood's first round pick!

And if North don’t do the honourable thing and bid on Daicos I sure as hell hope GWS do.
North or GWS could stuff Collingwood for the next 2 years

I reckon GWS would. They cop plenty of bids in there players all the time.

Dutchy, are North looking at Horne at No.1?

Yeah held on, won 3 comps, collected close to $1k from $150 investment - still miles behind over the years tho!

I canned it after there were more restrictions and wouldn't be fair on the Crows (i.e. Showdown)

Boak stiff not to even make the AA 40 man squad

Very unlucky. A few interesting selections.

Bailey Dale, Toby Greene, Christian Salem and Jake Stringer get a look in before Travis Boak, Cam Guthrie and Josh Kelly? Am I missing something or am I just plain stupid?

I haven't seen enough of Weitering, Fritsch, McCluggage, Mundy, Seedsman or Papley to make judgement.

Boaky’s had better years (not saying he wasn’t very good, that’s always a given). Given the depth of midfield talent I’m not surprised he’s missed out this season tbh, albeit a case could quite easily be made.

Stringer has been the number 1 ranked player in the comp over the last 14 rounds. He would be a lock for a HFF spot.
Harris Andrews very stiff also IMO
Hopper probably the luckiest

No worries, I'll take your word for it in regards to Stringer, I knew he had a sensational back half of the season, Salem had a ripper first half but turned to shit once I recruited him for my Supercoach team.

Boak averaged 28 touches and 5 tackles per game, despite Wines' obvious stellar season I still think Boak is our barometer along with Lycett, we are a completely different side without them in it.

Our pitiful performance against Brisbane highlighted Boak's importance to the side.

But still, it matters not as he wouldn't have made the final 22.

Great to see Sean Darcy in there, I wonder if he gets to sit on the pine instead of Nic Nat?

It's a bit of a process of elimination for the remainder of the positions, I'd like to see Touk Miller rewarded, Aliir's late in the season form might get him over the line as he's fresh in everyone's head.

Guthrie started off like a house on fire, got injured and hasn't recaptured that form since returning. Don't think Kelly has been all that special but has played a few very good games, he's also played a few average ones. Boak has been pretty solid and probably should have been included.
