When you have the worst list manager in the comp that can’t be fired because of his dodgey property deals with board members and players you are stuffed royally.

Port beating Carlton and the Crows losing by 66 points, a satisfying moment in time for me.

Are the dingbats from one side of the town any worse than the dingbats from the other side of town though?
Anyway, at least this Geelong dingbat was happy. :D

I just tend to notice the Crow supporters that I deal with love to hang shit on Port when they lose despite how the Crows go, the Port supporters that I deal with tend to just be happy enough with a positive result. The Port Facebook page though is Dingbat Central! They just hate on everything, to the point that it is deadset humourous.

I guess it's a bit different for me, a football result doesn't affect my mood in any form, happy to take a win but also realize that we aren't winning a flag this year.

At least Geelong are always competitive, everyone (including myself) don't mind having a dig at the mature age recruiting but it works a treat IMO, most clubs bottom out at some stage but the Cats never seem to, I also think that the draft is an absolute lotto, a lot of top 10 draft picks don't end up reaching the lofty standards of expectations and there's plenty of hidden gems later on in the picks. Well that's my take on it, I'm probably wrong but that's life.

I notice it both ways.
While we're competitive I can't see the Cats winning it this year either.
Hard to see either of the Prelims being in Victoria this year so two interstate clubs should get an eay run through.

Yeah, you probably would more than I do being neutral.

I actually think that this is the most open the premiership race has been for some time, Sydney losing to Freo and the Dogs at home brings them back to earth but Brisbane seem to peaking at the right time of the year.

The next bunch of teams are more that capable if they can bring their A game.

Brisbane have all the tools and the desire following last years heart ache, they are the side to beat right now.

Next in line is still Sydney I think and despite their run of losses where 3 could have gone either way Fremantle by 1 point, St Kilda by 2 points and Brisbane by 2 points and the loss to the Dogs yesterday isn't a surprise as along with Hawthorn the Dogs are the hottest team in the game right now and Sydney have some injury concerns.

Brisbane
Sydney, Fremantle
GWS, Bulldogs
Hawthorn who aren't in the 8
Geelong, Port, Carlton
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Would be interesting to see their predictions for each match. I have the following:

Sydney
BL
Carlton
Freo
Dogs
Geelong
GWS
Hawks

I guess they think port will beat Melbourne in Melbourne.

The glaring thing out of yesterday’s game in Adelaide was the pure ease with which Hawthorn were able to brush the Crows aside & score. It really was “witches hats” stuff.

Brereton called it early as he noted Adelaide were far too top heavy for the fleet of foot Hawks and after half time the big blokes forward had zero impact.

Didn't help that Keays, Jones and Murphy let Amon and Impey stroll away whenever they pleased.

The comment sections on the Port socials are so negative, people constantly whinging about selection and Ken (which is why I don't mind the tongue in cheek banter on here about Ken because it's much less serious than some comments I read about sacking him). I remember I guy I used to work with commenting on Port's Instagram saying we must have the worst supporters in the competition with the amount of complaining people do and he continues to get proven right from what I've seen.
