Interesting bit will now be how aggressive the Crows will be with up to $1m pa in cap space all of a sudden. Who will they go after?

I'd like to see them make a move on Angus Monfries before Port sign him (if they haven't already). He is a terrific young bloke and I am sad to see him leave Essendon

Giles perhaps, but would he want to have to compete with Jacobs for the first ruck position.

i also thought his manager was going to "eyeball" the club of the decision

I dont think its a real big loss, i think he believes he is better than he actually is. YEs he has talent but not at the price he wants

"Boys, this morning, I have told the club that I won't be renewing my contract for 2013.
"Making my decision has been one of the toughest processes I have ever been through.
"I have asked the club to shoot through an email to you all but in case it doesn't get through I want to thank you for your support and friendship over the past six years.
"Have absolutely loved playing alongside you all.
"You are all friends for life! I'll be in touch. Love KT."

seeing that he has walked out on them and is selling himself off to the highest bidder and couldn't even tell people in person, you'd wonder how many mates he will have left there.

Agreed, we have not seen the best of him but would still like to see him stay. I think we set a bad precedent by paying him so much two years back based on potential. He still is yet to show what he could be, the risk is he may never get there.

His manager did say that football is way down his list of priorities in life, this is just a job to him I believe.
To send a TXT to his mates is a sign of his character IMO, although if we had TXT messages 15 years back breaking up would have been soooo much easier!
