While Richmond's song is the best going around I reckon the grand old flag is a clear 2nd.

Shame there was only about 2000 Melbourne supporters there to hear it.
Lets hope they get good reception in Mt Hotham so they can all sing along

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Yes Norwood are in a similar position, would expect them to have a shocker soon
Essendon are 8-2, happy to be be so high after most people picked us to finish bottom 6.
Yes it was a bad loss but only have ourselves to blame, have to make the most of your chances and we missed too many easy shots.

What a weekend!!! Hawks by 100+, Bombers lose to scrubbers and Carlton get flogged by Port, just need The Suns to get up to make it almost perfect.

What chances Stanton to get a kick again this year? When no one took Essendon seriously at the start of the year he was left to run loose, now they have won a few he gets tagged and cant handle it.

23 touches to Stanton, far from our worst.

Only a pisstake lads
My brother is a Melbourne member and I have a soft spot for them, probably my second favourite team.
If we are going to lose to anyone id rather it be them.
Was just a pity that more of their fans didnt rock up tonight to support their side and witness a fantastic win.

Bit of a wake up call for your lads Jimbo? Probably what they needed. Will get savaged in the press but so will Carlton. Still your boys will probably be better for it. But take nothing away from Melbourne, they wanted it!

Probably shows how close the comp is, anyone can win on their day. Sad to say i could see this coming, we have looked pretty flat in patches for a couple of weeks and the Dees played 3 good quarters against Carlton last week. Full credit to Melbourne they wanted it more, our guys sat back and just expected it to happen.
Very even comp, Port have improved dramastically and GWS were good for 2 and a bit quarters down in Geelong, if any side drops their guard against the Giants look out, can see them winning a couple more by seasons end

Half time

Brisbane 7.4 46
WCE 5.5 35

Brisbane proving a handful for the Eagles today in sticky conditions (lots of rain in past 24 hrs).
