I wasn't comparing the 2, I was providing some context given the post I quoted indicated that Fev had done things that were only foolish/stupid, and didn't have any actual victims. What I wasn't comparing (ie. wasn't saying they were roughly the same), was what reportedly Fevola got up to in Ireland, compared to what Jurrah is accused of currently.

Jurrah charged with domestic violence.

So he has pending court cases in NT and SA. Both for violent crimes. As well as his drink driving charge a couple of weeks ago. People that said Port were stupid for not signing him look a bit silly right about now.

Was never going to happen. His efforts at AFL training were not even close to getting on the list and his no shows at SANFL training level meant he was never going to get an offer their either.

Not so sure. I think the best intent was offered, he just failed to take the opportunity at the time.

Ah yes, as you've said on here previously Booney. My point was based on Port considering signing him, he obviously wouldn't of been training with them Port if didn't consider it.

I think it was a case of get him over to adelaide, get him in a magpies jumper and then if all goes well with his court case sign him next year. But seeing whats being happening with him lately I think he know's he won't be in adelaide for too long.

Port football operations manager Peter Rohde said Jurrah's latest indiscretion had dampened Port's interest.

We will continue to offer what support we can but believe playing football cannot be a primary consideration for him at this time."

Port should have never got involved until he cleared up his Legal issues, from the above comment it seems they now realise what most people knew before he trained with them. Another decision that tarnishes the Power brand

I disagree, I think a club giving an indiginous lad a chance to get his life back in order and a clear path to do so does not tarnish the power brand, if anything it probably promotes the brand - giving people a helping hand/second chance. Port Adelaide tried to help someone out, Jurrah did not take the chance. Remember he was never a Power player at any stage - was only invited to train and get his life back on track.

Im all for giving another chance, just think it should have been done after his legal issues are sorted.

Cornsey annoyed the shit out of me last night saying he understands Jurrah not taking the Magpies offer because it wasnt "exciting" enough. He said Jurrah had an expectation that he would play AFL again and shouldnt have to stoop to the Maggies level.

Rowey disagreed and said Jurrah shouldve taken anything he could get.

In no way is anything currently happening to Jurrah Port Power or Port Magpies fault...BOTH clubs gave him a chance to show them what he could do, he blew his chance with the Power. The Maggies gave him a lifeline, and he didnt take it.

There was a caller that compared Jurrah to people he met in Kenya who have their own laws and customs. He said to look at it from Jurrahs point of view. Imagine yourself, going into an isolated community, and trying to fit in and abide by their laws and customs. Im sure you would break at least a few of them. Not defending him, because violence shouldnt be accepted. It was just an interesting point.

Jurrah, I believe, was offered a role within the PAFC's well known and liked community program before he was seriously considered for a playing position. The club offered various methods of support with an aim, one day, of having him back playing at AFL level and if not at SANFL level but the bulk of the offer was support to get him through the legal process he is currently part of with a long term view of playing again.

Yeah, we should be criticised from pillar to post on that one.Try again.

OK say you put him on your list in December (why else did he train with them) and then come March he gets put behind bars? How can that be a good decision/outcome for Port and Jurrah?
