Tell you what, the kid took it pretty well too. Despite the broken jaw he looked like he wanted to play on as the trainers too him off the groung. Tough kid.

Wojo got one week for the punch and two weeks for the bump. That's twice in a row now that the Cats have got lucky at the tribunal I thought Wojo would miss more than two for breaking a bloke's jaw.

Must be a state league tribunal thing .. The SANFL has been less severe for ages than the AFL Tribunal, looks the same in Victoria I guess? Out West I reckon Kerr got away with one in the WAFL in recent seasons to.

Bonus result for the Cats.

Are you serious? Nice bump, didn't deserve a suspension and once you step on the field, your fair game.

wedgie, so your saying our tackles and bumps etc should depend on who we do them to?
if he is in the game then he should expect to be hit etc.. (not the punch but the bump)

I agreee. Obviously the kid got under his skin and he gave him the little jab to the chin, then when the opportunity arose he really went after him with the bump, you can see Wojinski (sp) was "after" him in the bump.He wanted to flatten him and he did.

I reakon he's very, very lucky to only have got 3 weeks.

So you want a bloke to get off for a high bump that broke a blokes jaw but you want Selwood outed for a fairy slap that didn't even make the other bloke flinch. Agreed it was a nice bump that wouldn't of even been looked at 5 or longer years ago but your in trouble now if you elect to bump instead of tackle especially if an injury occurs.

Been through all this. Raines' punch wasn't that hard either.

One was a hip and shoulder, one was a punch.

got 1 week and 2 weeks to be served concurrently. So technically only 2 games out, but because of the two byes (geelongs bye and a state game bye), he will actually miss 4 weeks.
