Bock, Ablett, Brown, Bruce, Harbrow, Krakouer.

Heard Pavlich mentioned as well on Fox Sports News tonight... bit of a roughie I'd say.

He has the potential to be a bigger loss than Bock. Bock's best football is behind him but Krak's best days are ahead of him. It is only a waste of money if he doesn't advance his football down there.

Agreed "potential" however they have spent the $$ on a player that is un proven and his body has been suspect to date. He could be one of the indigenous boys with all the talent in the world but mind, body and work ethic isnt there. Big Risk IMO

But in saying all this, you never know what they are thinking.

Has anyone heard how Hunt has gone for GC lately? eg stats? I saw some clips of him the other day and he seems to have the basics coming along!

As far as i know he is going to be rested for the remainder of the season due to the heavy workload he has had playing rugby prior to joining the suns. He registered 4 handballs in his last game and had no influence, but in fairness he has played all positions on the field since he started playing so he will be given time to develop a key position over pre season one would think. He appears to have the basics coming along nicely but this pre season will be huge for him. He has shown some good signs in some matches but definately a work in progress

Can anyone tell me if they know how much more of a salary cap does GC get? how long do they get this for?

I was thinking that if you get that many first round draft picks plus the money they are throwing at players, how long before they will see trouble when these kids become decent enough to ask for more money?

If the next group of kids coming through are even like the top three from last year, wont take long for that money to be gone.

So they have 4 seasons until they are to be in line with all clubs? I cant see them holding onto all of these after the first 4 years then.

The top 4 alone from last year in four years will be worth a bit Skully, Trengove, Martin and Moribito.

They will have a pile of kids on less than $250k for a long, long time though. This will leave room at the top end.

Do the Suns get an extra bit like Brissie and Sydney for being from Rugby States?

Christian Bock looking at playing for Gold Coast next year, brother of Nathan. He is currently on the Essendon rookie list. This is part of the reason for Nathan Bocks' departure from the crows.

Brennan apparently has been offered 2mil over 3 years. Hmm you could easily get a key forward for that, not sure if that is a good investment.

Brissy will never match that. As a Lions supporter I wouldn't mind seeing the back of Brennan and hanging onto Rischetelli. Can be spectacular, but way too inconsistent.

I'd like to hang onto both, but if we had to lose one I'd agree with you DB. Brennan has not lived up to the hype sadly. Rischitelli is a gun and will be one of the elite midfielders next year.

Rischitelli is as good as gone due to the fiasco that happened last year. Rumour has it he has told Brisbane to not even offer him a contract for next year.

He will be back in Melbourne next year, possibly at Essendon. An absolute gun who will be lost to the Lions due to Vossy openly shopping him around as part of the Fevola deal.
