Was Ben Rutten in the draft? ;)

I agree though Carlton will need some massive improvement from some defenders because they won't be kicking the same scores they have in the past i feel.

Im extremely happy with Richmonds selection of Martin and the rest of the boys we got. Definitely finishing above NM this year Dutchy ;)

With the luke situation, Collingwood would not have been fooled by the delay as im sure they would have known Luke Balls number.

Thought it was definitely better this year, in prime time n back on the tv. Hopefully it stays like this every year.

I'll bet you any amount of money that NM finish above Richmond THIS year!

No we didnt, but we did have dinner at the Chinese rest on the corner of Southbank/Crown overlooking the entrance, was some good entertainment watching the ins/outs*

I do wonder in the AFL knew they would be next door to it

Better watch out, with the AFL organising events next door to events like that, mum's will start steering their kids to soccer ;)

Looking forward to seeing Hooper and Franklin in the forward line with Rioli on the wing next season

Hawthorn fans might want to look forward to Hooper actually turning up at training first.

with that sort of forward line it would look like Franklins main role will be to bring the ball to ground. Rioli is hard enough to manage on his own, but adding in a bloke like Hooper as well will make things a wee bit tricky for oposition defences.

We all know before Goose broke his leg he was a good solid player. But people are just wondering how has he come back?
Still with pick 91, worth a punt.

LMFAO !! Maguire limped off in his final training run at Princes Park. Yeah his medical that Carlton did must have been good reading. Pity Brisbane didn't do one on him.

Rutten LOL ! The truck will be OK at the Crows next year.

And tall defenders;
Austin 193 cm
Bower 192 cm
Henderson 196 cm
Jamieson 193 cm
O'hAilpin 199 cm
Thornton 192 cm
Waite 194 cm

All those blokes are taller then Maguire!

I'm very happy with the Blues choices too.

O'hAilpin 199 cm FORWARD i would think next year
Thornton 192 cm NEVER HAD A MAN - plays like sam fisher, just not as good
Waite 194 cm When he gets back, would think he will play up forward aswell

It gets a little tiring seeing the interviews with every coach leaving the draft saying how happy they are with their selections....wouldnt it be refreshing just once to see a club come away and go "you know what i think we may have picked a bunch of duds".

Interesting comment re: Thornton. We've been screaming out for a bloke who was able to peel off their man and be third man up at contests. We've got one who fills the role well, but your comment suggests you have no understanding of what his role is, nor how our back six structure up.

Your comments re Austin and Bower may yet to come true. The jury is out on those two for mine.

I was surprised with the Maguire non-pick up, however we would've had to delist someone prior to the draft to pick him up. That indicated to me that he wasn't quite right. Hopefully we're right but best of luck to the guy. Someone like that with that sort of injury deserves a break and a second break.

Have met the lad, he is a very nice young man, all the best Ben...

Came to Central after Tim Ginevar (then Port coach) told him he wasn't good enough to play league football, now on an AFL list !!

I agree with Timmy.

So do I....and disturbingly I agree with NFC

Only Richmond could stuff up recruiting him LMAO

That's a bit harsh when you would have hardly seen the kid play and he hasn't even had a chance to prove himself yet.

Will be happy to eat my words in due course, but I have every confidence he will make the grade at some stage, just needs to bulk up first !!

A lot of decent Johnnie Walker Red Label there, but not much Black Label or above.
