You cant bring the ASD into the argument. The ASD is the only funding Nth Melb receives from the AFL and that is totally justified.

This funding for Adelaide and Port isnt the ASD, am I wrong?

Surprised to see that North have better average crowds than port. But that also inlcudes the game they had collingwood at Etihad I guess, there bit of a crowd bumper anywhere they go at the moment, but when your up thats what happens.

FWIW I am sympathetic to the situation that NM and the Bulldogs face over there and I understand why they need financial assistance. Dutchy fired me up bumping a thead making big claims about financial assistance and who gets what and then trying to explain away the big annual amounts NM get as a standard thing. If NM didn't get those equalisation payments then they would need bailout payments. It's all assistance in one form or another to compensate for lower memberships and crowds when competing with the bigger boys.

I reckon also if I went back into the thread that Brayshaw and NM have not achieved all the targets he/they set back when they rejected the GC move. AFL footy is a tough business to be in when you aren't one of the 4 richest clubs.

I think NM make the best of their situation as they can.
