some serious incompetence in negotiating a deal on the part of the clubs (and im including the crows) if they dont make massive profits in 2014

I would say so. If both clubs make a loss then christ something is not right.

The 2014 stadium deal was always known to be absolute crap, but was just a one year thing, with it being renegotiated this year, as is happening. Both teams knew they were getting the arse end of the stick this season but to be fixed for the years ahead.

Still not sure why it had to be crap for the first year.

Needed a deal in place by a certain deadline. That deadline came up too quickly for one of the three parties, much to both football clubs annoyance

not sure the stadium deal will change much from the first year

sounds like the running of the stadium is very expensive .. a lot more than footy park

That part isn't questioned and accepted by the clubs. $130000 earlier in the season, down to $100k a game by the end of the season. There other pie cutting that's being negotiated.

KT has said they have received the income they were expecting from the stadium deal, therefore despite this $3m uplift they are still $2m in the hole!
they are arguing the above budget income.

We got what we expected from the 2014 stadium deal yes. We also doubled out football department spending this year

Sounds like you run your club like our current state government.

Just a joke everyone, so Port and Labour cronies dont take it too seriously.

we did receive the income we expected from filling the stadium at a average of 32,000, yet we averaged 44,000. So you average an extra 12,000 but still make only the same money. Not only that during the year is was very easy to see the staff members had been cut back greatly.

Clearly we weren't going to turn a loss into a profit in one season and obviously something is not right with all parties involved in a lengthy detailed review of the stadium deal for all interested bodies.

Sure, another loss isn't ideal but I didn't expect a profit in 2014.

Next year on the back of this years on field showing is critical.

How do they fund this loss these days without the SANFL's help?

typical muppet crows supporter. Did you get the stupid crow sounds at the game because the 19th man didn't put in enough effort at the chanting lessons?
