You cant honestly believe that Mooneys was a mark? You actually have to hold the ball. Its not under 10s. Touching the ball isnt good enough.

Incredible victory. Shades of the Brisbane games earlier this decade. Its alright Wedgie...you can write us off all you wish. Cant believe its happened two weeks in a row. Wouldnt have happened too many times in history...winning the game with literally the last kick two weeks in a row.

if Geelong didn't stuff around with it at the end there in defence they would have won that game

Yep...

Be a bit much to give Port some (begrudging) credit for the win.

Hope we keep 'non-winning' every week...

If you read my post I was actually talking about the players that replaced Ling, Bartel and Selwood.

All credit to the Power

I thought it was a stupid move by Chocco to fire the shots that he did earlier in the week, but it has paid off

The Cats have had an excellent run with injuries, but today showed that when you miss 2-3 key players it makes a huge difference, this is why you also need a bit of luck during the finals, as couple of injuries could ruin your year

Can anyone confirm the extent of G Ablett's knee injury?

Anyway, the missus is happy too, whenever Port beat Geelong I go out and wash my 2007 XR6 in the front yard so the feral Port supporter who lives next door (who's wife and kids left him this year, don't blame them) can only drool while putting his Kingswood back together (he's never heard of the Magpies).
The car is spotless inside and out now!
Mind you its only happened once, he used to drool over my 97 Falcon wagon!

Yeah, its not much, he came back on and got a lot of touches after he did it, just a corky above his knee, stung at the time like all corkys do but didn't hamper him later in the game.

Judging by that goal he kicked which almost stole the game I don't think his injury affected him at all.

Agreed mate, its a triple win.
Some players rested.
Its the loss that apparantly we had to have.
Besides Richmond, Carlton and Melbourne, Port are probably the side I'd like to most see get 2nd spot as I still don't rate them.
I'd be shit scared if a team like the Crows were 2nd though.

I hope Port do well in the finals and stick it up all the people critisicing them. I think Port can beat anyone if everyone is firing in the team.

I have been waiting for "Showdown at the 'G" for years. It has to happen soon.

Last time we met Adelaide dominated the last 3 quarters and would have won by a lot more had they kicked straight... Port were rubbish.

If it was at AAMI, Adelaide would win
If it was at the MCG, Port would win

Williams is dumb like a fox, if AFL players and coaches are silly enough to take notice of and use comments like the ones he made, then that would only say to me they lack professionalism and focus.

If I was a cats fan I would be hoping they would lose before the finals, especially with their piss poor finals success.

What crap. No wonder you are overloaded.

I too don't rate Port come finals, in my view their defence is thin and they will struggle with winning the contested footy come sept

If Port win a top 2 position, I don't believe too many teams will fear them at AAMI, given they don't have the supporter base to sell the game out

I would love the CRows to sneak through and play the power in a Prelim at AAMI

Crows would win by over 10 goals mate.

It warms the cockle of my heart that the team to meet Geelong in the GF will have to do things slightly harder than they would have previously, Im hoping with all my heart Port can get up in the first final as that will make it even better but I wont hold my breath.

With two home finals coming up for Port if they beat Freo next week, I can see it now being a case of 'whoever' against Port in the AFL Grand Final. Hopefully that 'whoever' will be the West Coast.
