Most people will admit that Chad can play, but he's an absolute wanker. That opinion still counts now matter how many touches he gets. Good luck against Carlton, you had a bit of a problem with them last time I believe.

It appears he is enough of a wanker to be captain.

I think a younger bloke might get it next.Although Chad would be one of the front runners.

Yep. Supporters of other clubs would share my view I believe. Port have done really well to get where they are this year (as you said you do have a young team) but you haven't fared well against Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney and the Crows. Three of those sides have a large amount of harder bodies. A lot of your players (Chad, Burgoynes x2) is an example of this) like the cheapies and lack a bit of defensive nous...in other words..one way players...in other words frontrunners. Also, Lade is being overworked and it really showed in the last quarter last week...oh dear..I agree with bloody Wallsy!

See you at Cat Park. 8)

agree with everything you said REB apart from "Port have done really well to get where they are this year" I think they have been lucky with a number of wins this year. They have or will play the bottom four sides (current premiership standings) twice and been fortunate to play some of the top sides when they were in a slump or had top players out injured.

Not everyone ...... I know one team that's lost to Melbourne ..... :( One of a series of bad losses (including 2 to Freo, 2 to Essendon) that have us hanging on for dear life at 9-9

Back to topic, on my calcs, Port's record in 2007 can be broken down as:

vs top 8 sides - Played 7, Won 2, Lost 5 (wins v Coll & WCoast)
vs bottom 8 sides - Played 11, Won 9, Lost 2 (losses v Adelaide :D )

If you say the Crows should be a top 8 side then the stats appear more lop-sided - but we aren't top 8 ATM

Not that I think any of the Port supporters are denying these facts? I think they are well understood by all. Well done Power for winning all the games they should have - you can only do what the draw allows. See above for comparison to Adelaide's season. We would have the reverse stat

Most Crow supporters say Chad Cornes is an arrogant prick, blah blah blah, but if Chad all of a sudden said he wanted to be a Crow, you lot would be lovin it. You'd be calling him the best player in the AFL, blah blah blah, but because he's one of us, you think the worst of him.

If Tredrea was to step down as captain right now, 90% of Port supporters would demand Chad become the captain.
