You could always join the dark side and become a Adelaide United fan or better still a Redleg[emoji3]

Norwood's more appealing but might as well as stay at Prospect as you can get Coopers at the RSL there.
AU are 5 mins up the road but my pub is closer ;)
Miss the days of Coopers at 6ers home games :(

In this day and age there should be more choices. I get more choices at Prospect than I do at supposedly the best sporting ground in the world. Not even fussed if it's other Lion Nathan product like Tooheys New or preferably Little Creatures.

Agree.
Can go to any tiny pub or cafe in town and get a bigger variety than at AO, disgraceful really.

yeah surely they can just put more of the Lion Nathan range in the fridges. Or even have a single different beer every game. Wouldnt be that hard

True, not a bad drop. Not as good as Coopers Stout at Footy Park, though! :drinkers:

I think his run of games without injury helped in the decision making.

Very unusual, unless the 1 year only policy went to Carlton with Triggy.

Must have been another club sniffing around offering him a long term deal that forced the Crows hand. But then again they did sign JJ for 5 years

The nature of the modern game suggest continuity is the best way to stay on the park, once you get one niggle another isn't far away, but, if you've had a charmed 3 or 4 year run then even good management could be undone by bad luck.

Interesting extension given the Crows seemingly unbreakable "one year at a time over 30" stance.

Not sure why offering JJ 5 years is funny, your mob also offered him 5 years.

That means Dutchy can laugh, they dodged a bullet.

Given their last 2 months of 2016, anything would make them happy.

Sign a proven goal scorer with no injury concerns for 3 year extension at 30 years old (will be 33 at end of contract) and questions get asked why.
Do not give away two 1st round draft picks for an inconsistent 28 year old with 3 more years to run on his large contract, and questions get asked why.

Can't win in this footy game!

Well, one team can every year! ;)

4 years ago would you have taken Betts or Gibbs if both were free agents? Hindsight hey.

Probably a mistake to run to the media with the news that he was up for a trade, when he clearly wasn't. A bit hard to win under those circumstances.

The 3yr Betts deal should leave Adelaide with no cash left when WC and Freo swoop at Mitch McGovern at seasons end.

If you think Gibbs didn't want to leave Carlton you're way off. Of course Carlton didn't want to trade him but Crows never said they did.

Yeah cause clubs don't factor that in to their salary caps...
In saying that, no doubt Perth clubs will sell the farm to get him

So, just like the Ablett situation except Geelong didn't run to the media with news of the potential trade?
