Frees 16-14 Essendons way.

Seems the few times Port are in front in games it's only because of the umps

The only thing worse than the umpiring is the woeful kicking.

Wtf at that free kick for a 'dangerous tackle', they're making up rules on the spot

The umpiring has totally lost the plot. No one knows what the **** is going on out there. Watch a nineties game and start again. Just protect the dude who is going for the ball and ignore incidental contact. All these new rules have made it an impossible code to officiate.

I know he is a big enough spud to fuel the Smiths Chip factory but I have liked McKernans efforts tonight

yeah, playing melbourne a few weeks ago at home was so tough...

Geelong only play Melbourne once.

Didn't think my point was too hard to work out but I'll explain it.

Geelong play the 2 grand finalists from last year twice and the 6th side twice. ( 1 non finalist twice)
GWS play 1 grand finalist twice and the other sides were out of the 8. (4 non finalist twice)
Western Bulldogs play 1 finalist from last year twice. (4 non finalists twice)
Crows play 1 finalist from last year twice. (3 non finalists twice) (and Port have dropped in standard and only through the Cats feeling sorry for the Crows does it mean they'll not play the Cats twice)
Collingwood play 2 finalists from last year twice (Richmond and Geelong) 3 non finalists twice

At the end of the day none of those sides have a chance of the premiership but my point is its sad the Finals will be artificially be made up due to a skewed draw.

Its frustrating that several teams Geelong are comfortably better than over the season will finish in front of them. That's also been impacted upon by Geelong's mercy to the Crows as mentioned before. It frustrates me much more as a logical thinker and footy lover than Geelong supporter.

My point is, it'd be nice to have a draw similar to the EPL so we could have a fairer representation of where sides were at for the year with the end of year ladder.

Common sense I would have thought?

Cry me a f*cking river. You are'nt as good as you think

I really appreciate the intelligent way in which you addressed my points.[/quote]

It's pretty clear how they do the draw. You play more of the teams around you based on last years finalists. I'm not sure how you want to change that, give Geelong an easier draw than a team that finished 11th? Also your club would have requested two games against hawthorn.

Geelong have only beaten Richmond Bulldogs and now gws from inside the 8. Lost twice to North Melbourne. Hardly finals worthy. And I don't think they are a better team than any of the current teams above them.

And they wonder why it's an all time low crowd.

The umpiring this year has been an utter disgrace

Had a crack but are simply a poorly skilled side. Great to get some more time into the kids and work our way towards the easier draw and top 5 pick ;)
