It was weird wasn't it. No idea why

Lyon refuses to have anything to do with him.

Why is that???

Gerard seems to be one of the media folk who is the most neutral, common sense, fence sitter out of the lot of them

was about to say the same thing whufc. I wouldnt say fence sitter though, I would say he is more measured in his criticism, he actually forms a considered opinion before making outlandish statements.

It stemmed from when Lyon left St.Kilda for Freo - and the way he went about it. Whateley wrote a scathing article, really giving it to Lyon. He hasn't forgotten.
There was also some to & fro between them when Geelong was awarded a home final at Kardinia Pk against the Lyon coached Dockers, IIRC Lyon called the town of Geelong a backwater and resembling a toilet (I think). Whateley took exception and had another crack at Lyon about what he said.

If you don't like someone there is no point pretending that you do, fair game as far as I'm concerned, there's people I don't like at work and I have no hesitation in ensuring that they are well aware of that.

I don't mind Wheatley, Robbo gets on my nerves though but you need partnerships like them two.

you dont have to like someone to be professional in your dealings with them, which is what he should do to one of the most important football shows on TV. He is doing his club a disservice if they get less coverage because he refuses to speak to someone

I stand by my words, I wouldn't give someone the time of day if I had no respect or time for them. I respect those who stand by their rights as a person.

Are you trying to say Hodge had no effort against your mob? I better add the rolling eyes like you did

West coast were just better on the day simple as that. Far from Hodge's fault.

Spot on. Everything can be explained once you realise he is drunk most of the time.
