Adelaide Crows 2012

Talk on the national game

I wouldn't be surprised if people from Hawthorn were 'into' Gunston the whole time he was at Adelaide. According to the talking heads on Fox the Hawks always rated Gunston and they were spewing that the Blackbirds picked him up. So what happens down the line? Gunston gets 'homesick' and he ends up a Hawk what a scam.

Homesickness is the biggest crock of shit going when we are talking about Victorians in Adelaide. It is a seven hour drive or a one hour flight FFS. The real story is this...stay in Adelaide which will reduce your post football opportunities or go back home to Victoria where there are more clubs and more opportunities once your career is over.

Right now Tom Harley is the smooth bald head of Swiss Ultravite or whatever it's called and now he's got a nice old gig on Seven as well. If he stayed a Port player the most he could have hoped for is a spot on 5aa and maybe a sports gig on one the news stations.

Can't help but think Gunston's departure was a set-up however Tom Harley was traded to Geelong after spending the majority of his 2 years at the power playing for Norwood reserves. I would say Harley's move was more targeted at a life in football rather than a life after it.

I was only using Harley as an example of opportunities that are afforded players interstate.

Keen to see Kerridge, Jenkins, Lyons, Shaw go as well as how Johnston/Lynch fit into the side

McINtyre could be a bolter should Porpas and/or KNights get injured

Crows fans- Whats your opinions on Sam Kerridge, how likely is he for round 1?

I'm not sure, he's done some good things this pre-season but so have many others. I would say the side that lines up for the final this weekend will be very close to the R1 side, so keep an eye that.

Yeah not sure he plays round 1, they do rate him highly though. Could see him being a DT down grade target mid season ;)

The words "ball magnet" are often said in the same sentence as "Sam Kerridge".

Why do you think five SANFL clubs passed on him in the SANFL mini-draft - were basically told by the Crows he will play most of the season with them.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Crow fans be upset with anything but a top 4 finish now I'd say.

Brenton Sanderson, very, very good coach. Malcolm who?

Top 4?? We're a shoe in for the flag now. It's pretty obvious, all of our players are guns/legends/superstars. You know it. ;)

I'm keeping the lid on personally. My expectation is that Adelaide will be an early bolter but will drop off the pace a la Essendon 2011.

The enthusiasm will bring early wins but I don't think the experience or depth is there for sustained success just yet.

That means a top eight spot Ginge not too shabby. Where would your club be without the Catter influence mate. That Ronnie Burns...watta star! ;)
