Under rate Sydney at your peril.

Agreed. They were super against Carlton and are experienced campaigners in September.
Essendon on the other hand are carp and will finish bottom IMO.

Yes an extra day to prepare is a huge difference. And the only thing hard about the Perth road trip is the flight and that's not as hard for Adelaide as it would be for Victorian or Northern sides. The West Coast are a soft touch but the Hawks smashed the bejesus out of us.

Good call on the Tommy 'goal' though I'll give you that one. The only reason I brought up the Selwood goal in the first place is that you clowns are acting like you've won the flag.

REB you keep saying we are acting like we won the flag when infact you are simply using that statement for your arguements. No one here has said anything about premierships. The reaction you are getting from people is purely in response to a thread which you started. It was a blatent stab at the AFC and which has bitten you on the bum 'slightly' with the crows win on friday night  suck it up

Cmon REB give the crows this win. The effort on our end was fantastic and people can say what they like about the cats eg were flat etc etc but in the end the only thing we really care about is the way we played and the improvement shown. The win was a great and sparked this thread back up that for sure

Anyone can pick incidents from any game game and say 'what if this' 'what if that', but in the end one incident being changed then changes the whole sequence of events for the rest of the game, hence there is no point even talking about them.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Regardless of your interpretation of the free, Geelong were gifted far more scoring opportunities from non-existent free kicks.
Maybe one went our way, but the Cats had four or five at least.
Free kick count was just about even at the end of the game. Surprising for a team second to the ball most of the night.

A blatant stab at the AFCorporation? Who moi? Heaven forbid Not so! I put the Cows in this thread because they were 0-6 and now I find I'm the only person on the planet who dared to suggest that the Cows Ablett given right to a finals spot was ever in question. I actually had your blokes in the top four at the start of the year so that might say more about my lack of predictive powers I would suggest.

And you're right about anybody being able to pick incidents out, that is the perogative of the loser (the losers can please themselves). I didn't have much fun watching the game on Friday so let me have my fun now will ya! ;)

But the fun I'm having this week will not compare to the fun I'll have at your expense if you can't beat Port. But then again, no one will be around to razz up because you'll all go running off to the Crows reservation F ARK.

Good god, it's like banging your head against a brick wall. I said 'maybe one went our way'. Not 'one certainly went our way'.
I still think the free was there.
You should go into politics.
Anyway, it is entirely possible you're so passionately defending the loss because you labelled the Crows a Lame Duck Team.
MAYBE you're just a little bit embarrassed. (Oop, there's that word 'maybe' again).

Anyway, I tipped against the Crows. As 97 per cent of other Crows fans would have.
But I did not go around online forums claiming the victory was in the bag like certain Cats fans (BC).
So I think the chirpiness is well and truly justified.
As was Henderson's free kick.

Agreed, at 0-6 it was justifiable yet premature IMO. With the list of injuries we had and the fact many were short term, our form had to improve.... to what extent was anyones guess! Its not a god given right for us to play finals its just almost expected by AFC members/supporters as we havent really had to many years without finals footy (yes yes enter the 'choke' or 'scientist' comments  ).

Do not mention the unthinkable again please  if the crows loose to the POWA they will all come out the woodwork like they did when we were 0-6, now only booney remains pretty much! I couldnt stand it

On another note, the reason most AFC members enjoyed the win against geelong and some may have got carried away is due to the respect other teams have for the cats. They are the measuring stick and they way they play has people wanting/wishing their team could play at that level. Entertaining/physical/skillful football is what you want and what they dish up week in week out. However i think Adelaide matched the pressure of Geelong and won on the night, to say other factors contributed to the crows win is an injustice to the way we played IMO. 'On the couch' highlighted the Crows pressure and the way we smothered the running handball game of Geelong. fair dues
