Target Jordan McMahon? LMAO

Do you really need a soft half back flanker who skirts the packs to complete your back half?

28 or 29,2 or 3 year deal,I think most Crow fans would feel Hudson is being under valued by the club, regardless of any measures they have in place for signing of 30 odd year olds.IMO.

For mine,Maric is not good enough, just a little small and as haloman has put so well ( ) the primary function of a ruckman is to tap to advantage, not a strength of Maric.

Meeson and Griffin both show potential, that ugly 'potential' word has finished many a players career far too early.Potential only at this stage for those two.

Biglands is capable but vulnerable in the same breathe after a full recon.

Just like people to rate the ruckmen in the league.

Cox,Lade,McIntosh,Ottens,Fraser,Blake,Brogan,Hudson,Everitt,White,Brown.Where does Hudson sit?

Hudson came 11th in tap outs (would have been 9th if not for a week missed).
Throw into the mix than unlike other ruckmen when he loses a tap out he's the first to get a hard ball get out meaning as far as clearances involved in he'd probably be top 3.
I feel sorry for the 60% of the Crows fans who know the value of Hudson and realise their club has stuffed up big time.
On the other hand I'll laugh myself silly at the other 40% and the club itself when it continues to fall into obscurity next year.
Now, time to let the big boys play on the big stage, save your idle chit chat for when the season is over. Go Cats!

Cox, Lade, Ottens, McIntosh, Everitt, White, Charman, Brogan, Sandilands, Fraser. Ruck has been a problem for Adelaide all year.

Half back flanks that skirt the pack are pretty handy in the AFL Booney- dont know what game your watching but todays footy is more like circle work than big packs like the old days, you need pace and mcmahon fits the bill perfectly

I like the way Adelaide are happy to trade away players, purely to get ex-South Australian players back.
These same players they let through their fingers first time round.
Also, these other clubs only let them go, because they've had a good look at them, & prefer to vacate that spot on the list.
One day the Crows will realise they can target non-South Australian born talent.

Like Massie, Stevens and Hudson? Not to mention the many non-SA guys drafted

Melbourne were happy to 'vacate' Scott Tompson were they?

Adelaide would lose Hudson and McGregor to the Bulldogs - and its No. 10 draft pick to Brisbane.

In return, the Crows get, with these advantages:

ROOKIE ruckman Cameron Wood, 20, who would return home to be part of an inexperienced Adelaide ruck unit working to the lead of Rhett Biglands in his comeback season from a serious knee injury.

DEFENDER Jordan McMahon, 24, who allows Craig to finally release Graham Johncock from Adelaide's back six to play in the midfield rotations.

PACY key position player Stephen Tiller, 20, who offers speed to a team needing it.

DRAFT pick No. 5 from the Bulldogs that advances the Crows five spots from the No. 10 it currently holds and sends to Brisbane in return for Wood. This enhances Adelaide's hopes of claiming Port Adelaide Magpies midfielder-forward and SA under-18 captain Brad Ebert in November's national draft.

One of many pie in the sky trades that will come up over the couple of weeks.

A few points on this I am tired of the media's so called love affair of Stiffy movin in to the midfield - he has played his best footy as a rebounding Half Back / Back Pocket so leave him there and find another midfielder !!!

We are probably already fully loaded with ruckman any way even if we lose 2 this year - We will probably still have Biglands / Maric / Griffen / Tippett. 4 ruckman on a list and 1 on the rookie list is probably plenty.

Jordan McMahon - I think we could do better alot better than him.

Stephen Tiller - dont know much about him and how many games has he played.

Western Bulldogs can have Kenny and Huddo for a young fella by the name of Ryan Griffen - deal done and that will do just nice !!!
It is what it is !!!

Indeed they are, they are also a dime a dozen,Crows have McLeod,Johncock,Mattner in some respects Bassett also plays this role.McMahon you can have, waste of a trade,IMO.

Is Tiller the type of player that the Crows are really after though?

He did very well in the games he played for WB this year though.

Jordan- Yeah i think you can do better than him too, he has really gone back to the pack this year, Makes to many errors and is not hard enough. Has a lot of potential and can create great drive from the back half, I just dont think he is what Adelaide need.

Tiller- Has only played 5 games this year, Is 20 and from West originally. He has great pace and not bad hands. IMO will be a good forward in the future.

The thing that baffles me is that that article by Rucci was written as if its a "done deal". I'd be very surprised if the Bulldogs gave up pick 5 for Hudson and Mcgregor, whilst at the same time losing a promising young forward (Tiller) and McMahon. Very unlikely trade i would have thought.

For one out of left field, I'd like to see them make a play for former West Australian junior Wayde Skipper. Think the guy has heaps of talent and may need to work harder but a change of scenery won't hurt the lad as he appears to be a bit stale at the Bulldogs and I think he's worth the risk if the Crows are after a similar player as a replacement for Hudson and if Hudson and McGregor were both to end up at the Bulldogs he could come over as part of a package.
Skipper will turn 25 in March next year.

I think that the Crows are in the Box Seat though with a trade to the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs are in need of an established Ruckman and KPP - in which they can get done in one deal !!!

How about Deluca? If this is what you're basing what makes a good ruckman, Deluca must be one of the worst in history.

No, no, no.

Just NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whenever anyone thinks he's starting to make a name for himself, he takes two steps backwards.

Man I'm starting to hate this time of year. The amount of garbage players thrown up is unbelievable.
