Blue Boy

Being aggressive is sometimes hard to measure

the crows went very very hard for three or four players last year, including Nash from Essendon, and Bell from Melbourne, however the deals fell over at the death knock

the issue is, deals like the Tarrant deal takes all week to get done, and until the big deals fall in place the other deals stay parked, often more times then none, clubs run out of time to negotiate

this year we could see Judd move to the trade table, this will become a real road block for other trades to be completed as clubs will be relucant to complete any trades until the Judd trade, as they fear they might lose their negotiation position

this is why I keep focusing on the current trade format, the process make it very difficult for trades to be completed in time, to all parties expectations

fix the process and you will see clubs become more agressive, including Adelaide

I believe a week is too long, a three day window is sufficient, in addition their needs to be independant mediators appointed by the AFL to facilitate the negotiation process

i think your right because the deals that are done early in the week would propably be done before trade week starts and most deals are usually done in the last hour of trade week

I have only just found out that young Aish qualifies as a father-son selection for Adelaide

mu understanding is he is 20 years old, so I assume given that he has been missed in previous drafts, he may not be up to AFL level

can anyone confirm?

That’s mainly due to the fact he hasn't been really committed to football prior to last year. He showed some good signs in 2006 but injury prevented him from really making his mark. But this year, when fit, he’s been a permanent member of the league team and kicked about 19 goals in 9 or 10 games. Injuries are a worry, but he has got good skills, a good work rate and has great hands once the ball hits the deck.

But at 21 and with a history of injuries, he’s definitely a risk. I rate anyone who wears a Redlegs jumper, but there are still too many doubts over him to be drafted IMO. He could be a good AFL player, but I can't necessarily say that with any conviction.

Good analysis NFC ... Has a good pace to height ratio also, well for the SANFL anyway, and excellent footskills ... Actually I would go so far as to say he's probably the most skillful player at Norwood.

Probably needs to harden up a little, but is still going through the learning curve and is passing with flying colours ... Struggled at the end of the year with OP which would be of concern to potential suitors.

If overlooked with FS selection, I would imagine he would still be available at the end of the draft anyway.

Well now the crows at least have some trade bait!
Hudson and McGregor. Big losses but the crows might be able to get something that they need from this.

after listening to today's sanfl game between CD and NA, I asked myself couple of questions

1. Did the crows de-list A Obst too early, has he done enough to get another opportunity at AFL level

2. Should Brad Symes seek a trade, maybe to the crows

Booney

I don't believe the crows will have a third crack at White

2 years ago the deal was done, however both Clubs just missed getting the papers lodged on time....

last year, the Power did not want to negotiate

unfortunately for white, he will remain on the Power's list as an insurance policy
