It has come up an absolute treat.

3rd hand info here, but temporary grandstands have been installed for the game. The grounds actual dimensions are 80m longer than Subiaco in both directions.

Its actually no as bad over there as its been made out. I was there recently when it was warm and still. Not really that bad at all, but all the doomsayers looking to bitch and moan are ramping it up.

Also just to be clear North Korea and China are actually allies so whoever came up with the notion that North Korea are going to nuke China seem to not understand the world events at the moment. More chance if the US hitting North Korea with a nuke.

I am genuinely excited to see the match, I don't really care who was playing, I just think it's such a novel idea, the 52 participants that take the field Sunday will be absolutely tingling once they get on the oval.

:-?

44 players, 8 umpires.

As an umpire I get a bit hyped when I'm doing a big game, I don't go hip and shouldering the other ump or anything but I'll play some bouncey music on my way to the ground or find some kids to have a kick with at half time of the B's.

We are 9 days away from the match and the only way to see the game if you live in China is to be there.

I think the powers that be need to stump up more cash.
