Most influential player in the league IMHO. He isn't the best - skill wise, but the overall package, skill, physical presence, ability to take a contested mark, the way he gives Brisbane a target (straightens them up) and his go to status (i.e they just kick to him when in doubt, or if Lethal has a problem on the ball he gives Brown a run there for 5 or so mins) makes the the most infuential # 1 player in the league - IMHO.

BTW ever notice how no other club has a crack at or pushes around the Brissy youngsters....not with Browny lurking on the field.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

No one would have picked the draw, so it doesn't matter really. :) Unless you wanted to see the no.8 next to your name this week as a personal thing. Who did you tip out of that match?

Agreed.

I've always said Brown > Judd.

Lions.

It's a big thing at work. There is some serious folding on the line in our work tipping comp and I am equal leader on 103 ... no breathing space either as third is on 99 and fourth on 97.

My "rival" picked Sydney (our only different tip) so every game is a big one.

2007 = Brown > Judd

though over their careers, I reckon Judd shades Brown by a percentage of 52 to 48.

Imagine a side with both in good nick and a good ball delievering ruckman  ... that trio would almost ensure a 20-2 home and away record as well as a flag most years.

Spelly ... the funniest thing is that I have had no eights this season (out of a total of 107 so far) and it would have been good to regain the outright leadership with my first "eight" this week :(

107!! I'm up to 104 now, and have had one 8 out of 8 week this year. I've never gone this good ever in a tipping comp. I also picked Brisbane, so if I get the last three right I will be at least 2 ahead. But hang in there, cause leading the comp for so long and losing it in the last two rounds would be deflating.

Likewise! I'm quite proud of my achievements considering I have seen more WAFL and Upper Great Southern FL matches in the flesh than watching AFL games on TV. I prefer to listen to the ABC when matches come on at midday ... great thing, time difference - I still get to the East Fremantle games after listening to most of the AFL match!

My previous tipping best was a total of about 112/132 in the VFL the early 1980s when all you had to do was pick out of Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Hawthorn and North and ignore Melbourne, St. Kilda and Footscray.

By the way, to spoil it for the ABC2 viewers the WAFL TV game here was close ...
East Fremantle 31-16 202 to Peel Thunder 12-8 80 (the straightest we've kicked all season LOL)

That would be a good match for scott to do stats on! Might have to tape that one myself.

I know that the Sharks' stats crew had us with 80 handballs to Peel's 32 at half-time ... but that is before we went and kicked 11-6 to 0-1 in the third stanza ... and then it was 8 goals to 6 in the last!

IIRC, there was 46 minutes of time on for the match!

EF 6-2 12-8 23-14 31-16 (202)
PT 5-3 6-5 6-6 12-8 (80)

OTHER GAMES
(Today) Claremont 16-13 (109) def Perth 16-7 (103)
(Friday) Swan Districts 11-15 (81) def Sth Fremantle 10-14 (74)
(Sunday) Subiaco v West Perth
Bye- East Perth
