We will cop some terrible beatings this year, everyone knows that but I wouldn't be taking much from today's NAB game. As soon as the sides were announced I predicted a 100 point plus result. Almost full strength Cats v Essendon missing close to their best 5 or 6 and playing a heap of rookies was never going to end well

Did we really need to see that? I know I didn't, feel sorry for the bloke, getting hauled over the coals like that in front of the "world" when he's done ( for all I can see ) nothing wrong.

Port looked in better shape last night, Wines and Ebert winning plenty, Dixon and Wingard looking dangerous and the back half locking the ball in our F50 when we had it there.

Hardwick wanting to end the game early because of some injuries? Interesting.....

Had it been a person from another station or a player it would have been discussed by the Footy Show panel, just because he works there doesn't mean it shouldn't be talked about. Think it would have eased a few of the people who work at Nine as it would be a difficult situation. I actually thought they did it very well.

Would of helped ratings too ;)

Agreed, it was handled pretty well. Question is, did it really need to be done and did we learn anything we didn't know or needed to know? Not really, just dragged a poor bloke through a live to air shit storm.

Think it was more about moving forward and putting a full stop on the drama. Don't think it will be spoken of again.

Of course Port looked better last night. Maric didn't play.

Apparently. Which is why I never see the show. I can't imagine anyone subjecting themselves to James Brayshaw voluntarily.

I see where he is coming from as it affected there rotations and hence why in the last 10 - 15 mins they had 15 on the park.

As I said I see his point of view, but even though its a practice match its the last one before round 1. Not exactly ideal prep.
