Timed it well with Lake out

i reckon you blokes will get the cookies. ANZ is a horrible place for us and it looks like Pyke will probably miss out... Plus you're a quality outfit...

Yeah who will they play on? Gibson will take buddy? That leaves spangher for Tippett?

With Tippett in form I like that matchup if I was a swans fan. Remains to be seen how match fit he is though.

I'm gonna tip the swans up there though

Hawks by plenty, Swans struggle at that pathetic ground. Time to bite the bullet and give ANZ the flick

Half that statement I hope you're wrong and the other half I totally agree... We have a ground which suits us and is world class... We don't even fill ANZ... At least we are a chance of filling the scg

Ive been wondering whether the Buddy Franklin factor might be a factor in SS V HW games this season
Well I didnt have to wait long

SS 15-17 [107]
HW 13-10 [88]

Buddy Franklin in fact was the difference between the 2 teams in this classic encounter

Not hard to get a kick when you've got Cheney on u most of the night. Most teams in the 8 would have beaten hawks with the players they had missing.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I agree with that. the Swans should of won easily, Hawthorn with no Hodge, Mitchell, Lake, Rioli............... & other injuries to good players were unlucky in the end with a very very depleted side.

Who was underdone WUD? Apart from Pyke not playing and Derickx doing the majority of the ruckwork I thought the Swans were at pretty much full strength?

Here's the thing though, Collingwood and Geelong have introduced youth, Hawthorn (and Sydney) topped up over the years with players from other clubs. With everyone on the park you've got a formidable, experienced line up. When injuries occur to key veterans the youth you haven't been developing aren't experienced enough to fill the void. In my view Collingwood and Geelong have done it right.

When was the last time MItchell had two injuries in one season? He's normally Mr 20 games a season every year. Sewell is gone and Hodge's regular representation was a huge benefit for Hawkers last year. Will Lake have the hunger now he's got his medal? Plenty of questions over the Hawks even before this match even though their percentage said they are unbeatable.

Hawthorn just don't have the next generation of players ready but having said that no club can counter injuries that occur during a game but a Rioli hamstring injury is hardly a shock to anyone.

If Geelong is the be all and end all of football development you would think they might beat the Hawks occasionally then.
