Collingwood Season 2012

Talk on the national game

I think its time Mick Malthouse either put up or shut up.

If he is genuinely upset about what happened and still wants to be coaching then bloody well say so. I've seen him on TV and heard him on the radio make several comments that were thinly veiled swipes at Collingwood and he, IMO, is the one causing much of this current rift.

Not one to have ever held him in the upper echelon of coaches but certainly admired him as a strong character he is sounding like a bit of a sook at the moment. Time for him to tell his side completely honestly and stop sounding so petulant.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

With Mick working for the media now, I think the motivation behind much of this spat is sensationalism. And Ed is partly to blame here to, conflicted in his role as a headline generator and club president.

I agree "Q", people have to understand his role in the media, the media are at him ( questioning ) all the time hoping he's going to respond & drop a bombshell, 9 times out of 10 the media will miss quote & over dramatise anything to do with Collingwood, Eddie, Malthouse & their players just like last year prior to finals, anything to derail The Collingwood Footy Club the media will do their best.
Eddie needs to shut his mouth, from my point of view he made the wrong decision pushing Malthouse out the door for his " love child " Buckley & the strain obviously is starting to show on him, i think he's the main contributer to the derailing of the Collingwood F/C.

I don't think there's much derailing going on.

Bucks can hold his head high, has acted with integrity so far and his press conference this morning was a fine example of that. He is a very different coach to Malthouse and it will take time for players to adjust to his 'new-school' methodology.

Port should win this week against one of the most injury depleted sides I have seen in a while, would it be fair to say they have 10 first choice players out?

Our third set of 10 players are still better than Port's first set (we'd better win now)
