I don't share your optimism Barto- my partner broke her leg over 12 months ago & still has a steel rod in her leg.
When it gets removed, there is more re-hab work involved.
I hope he can return.

What kind of break was it though? Which bone in the leg and what position was it? Was the muscle fascia damaged? Was there further complications down the kinetic chain? There's all different kinds of variables in these things.
