Still a great player though.
I rate Rutten behind Merrett, O'Hailpin, Hudghton, Glass, Wakelin, Michael, Scarlett and a host of others.
Firrito > all of them except Scarlett
Over rated - Leigh Brown & Ed Sansbury
Sorry Dutchy, dont agree with you. Firrito is a hack, IMO. I admit, i havent seen him play alot, but everytime i have, i have been unimpressed. His game is riddled with clangers and bad decisions.

I compare him to Peverill, who in turn i compare to a sucker fish, you know, the things that attach themselves to bigger, better animals in order to survive. When not 'attached' though, they struggle to find a purpose.
He is not within coo-ee of Glass, Rutten, Hudghton or even Wakelin.
He may well keep Brown to under 4 goals, but i'd be more interested in how effective he is on the counter-attack.
Im not big on stats like 'effective disposal'. All that means is that he found someone with his kick - doesnt tell the true story. 12 clangers could result in 12 goals for a bloke who plays in the back half majority of the time.
You obviously rate him highly and im willing to accept that you have seen him play more than i have. Your opinion might be more educated than mine for this reason, but it also might be more bias than my own for another reason.

Peverill? Oh dear...
Im not biased, ive already said 2 NMFC players are over rated in this thread....
The fact you obvioucly rate Hudgton and Wakelin worries me also....

Underated - David(?) Munday @ Fremantle
Highly agree with the David Mundy call. An excellent player both athletically and as a footballer. Apparently a target for Hawthorn, as I believe he is coming out of contract.
Overrated - Daniel Wells, Matthew Lloyd. Tredrea isn't overrated because people don't rate him anymore.

K Cornes!! Are you kidding.. The bloke is a gun. One of the most consistent players in the AFL.
