I feel like Steven Sims in the '91 GF...dished out a cheap shot, and waiting for the square up, but not sure where and when... 8-[

Still a great player though.

I rate Rutten behind Merrett, O'Hailpin, Hudghton, Glass, Wakelin, Michael, Scarlett and a host of others.

Firrito > all of them except Scarlett

Over rated - Leigh Brown & Ed Sansbury

Sorry Dutchy, dont agree with you. Firrito is a hack, IMO. I admit, i havent seen him play alot, but everytime i have, i have been unimpressed. His game is riddled with clangers and bad decisions.

A Hack?

"I havent seen him play a lot" - yet enough to call him a HACK? Maybe watch him a few times before opening your gob...in many eyes he was unlucky to miss AA last season

Clangers - 12 for the year, hardly earth shattering....
Effective Disposal % is over 81% for the season...again above average

He will get Brown this weekend, I bet he doesnt score more than 4 goals...

Look at some of the names above....FFS Mal MIchael got dropped last week

When i said alot, i meant obviously not as much a yourself. I have seen him 'live' 3 times at the Dome in the last 3 years, plus at least that again at AAMI in the same period. Also, numerous times on televised games. I think thats enough to draw an opinion on someone. Dont rate him.

I compare him to Peverill, who in turn i compare to a sucker fish, you know, the things that attach themselves to bigger, better animals in order to survive. When not 'attached' though, they struggle to find a purpose.

He is not within coo-ee of Glass, Rutten, Hudghton or even Wakelin.

He may well keep Brown to under 4 goals, but i'd be more interested in how effective he is on the counter-attack.

Im not big on stats like 'effective disposal'. All that means is that he found someone with his kick - doesnt tell the true story. 12 clangers could result in 12 goals for a bloke who plays in the back half majority of the time.

You obviously rate him highly and im willing to accept that you have seen him play more than i have. Your opinion might be more educated than mine for this reason, but it also might be more bias than my own for another reason.

I dont rate Wakelin and Hudgton - still think they are better than Firrito though.

Probably unfair to compare him to Peverill - Firrito is better than him...just !

Off the top of my head...

Overrated:

Dal Santo
Wells
TOM WILLIAMS (Yes Gerard, he was pick 6, doesn't mean he's good)

Underrated:

Jordan Lewis
Adcock
Morris

Under Rated
- Luke Power
- Kane Cornes
Over Rated
- Daniel Wells
- Warren Tredrea

I would like other opinions on this Thanks

I think Daniel Wells is effective by Injuries alot.. Not very hard either and Warren Tredrea simply hasnt been good for years.

Highly agree with the David Mundy call. An excellent player both athletically and as a footballer. Apparently a target for Hawthorn, as I believe he is coming out of contract.

Overrated - Daniel Wells, Matthew Lloyd. Tredrea isn't overrated because people don't rate him anymore.

Matthew Llloyd just another Tredrea... Good at peak fitness but average when not. also clouded by injury

I've not joined that group Dutchman but I'll hazard a guess ... There was pretty heavy hype surrounding the lad and his mercurial skills, and rightly so as he has bootloads of talent ... I think the number of games he's missed with injury, or had to play through injury, has resulted in him not reaching the lofty heights so many had predicted for him ... Yet.

Overrated - Anthony Rocca!!! Sooner he cashes in on his "super Boot" the better. And from the same school, Tarrant, the only thing he's good for is selling calendars

Underrated- Heath Scotland, same vane as Swan, ball magnet.
